Shivers n Shakes

Has good, reasonably priced ice cream. Has wood for a price that is hard to beat. Has ice for $1.50 a bag. Has a camp store that sells pool floats plus some camp stuff. Camp store is kinda blah, but everything else is A+.

I'm not one to post reviews much at all, but tonight was so bad, I can't let it slide. We stopped in for the first time ever, as a family, after a great beach day, for some ice cream. The girl working behind the counter, when we asked how her day was going, told us she had been working for 7 hours straight, no breaks, no food, no sitting, despite wearing a leg brace. Obviously not great, but she was so sweet and smiling and ready to help us. She got us our order, but one of the milkshakes was basically water and a ball of ice cream floating in there, so while she was busy with the next group, I went inside to ask if they could help us mix it again. I asked the man at the check out counter inside.....AND he cut me off half way through my question, rudely told me "that's how we make them here" and "you need to go to BEST next time" and then "get out"!!! He told me to "get out" at least 4 times, and then as I was stunned walking out the door with my 4 yr old son in hand, he hit me with the door as he closed it and locked it behind me, while half of my family was still in the store. I could not absorb what had happened. When my husband came out and listened to me, he went in to talk to someone to explain and question, but was given the same response rudely. We decided to go home, as our older boys were wondering what just happened. We will never go back again. Horrible customer service.....horrible milkshakes....we were never offered any mini golf after spending $30 on these treats. This may have been a long hard day for these people, but interacting with them ruined my night. **Still bothered by this, but hate to leave without trying to find a positive thing to say.....the hard ice cream portion was good and they had lots of flavours, as others have stated here. The inflatable toys in the store were fun to look at, and the prices seemed reasonable.

Very unfortunate experience, when asked which firewood was recommended the employee yelled at me “don’t get cocky with me” then refused to serve my family while swearing at us. Do not go to this shady rude business.

Best Prices around.!!!!! You can get 3 big bags of fire wood for $6.00 (tax included) IF you bring the bags back and refill them you get them refilled for $5.00. Plus they have ice for $1.50 and Ice blocks for $2.00. They have Ice Cream over 40 flavors, as well as Camp gear and not to mention all of the beach supplies from beach floats, beach chairs, towels, life jackets and so much more. Have been coming here for over 15 years. Wouldn't change a thing about the place. Great staff and just a great space to being the kids and friends. They also have Mini golf which the kids enjoy playing, only $2.50 a person!!!!

Robin and his team do a fantastic job here. My family and I come up to GB to camp every summer, and always stop here for wood and frozen yogurt! They even have mini golf ! Good place to stop for all your needs! See you soon and thanks for a great year :) -Alana, Gary and Abby

Great place with amazing prices through out the store, the firewood was amazing with great deals, has friendly staff 100% recommend.
