This store is adorable! They are incredible helpful as well. Twice they have messaged me pictures of Baptism outfits I was looking for so I could see if I liked it before I made the trip! Great service.

Terrible experience, purchased a display item (a toy stand that is not even for sale in the store) on the understanding I could take it back for full refund if my adult son with autism didn't want it. I was told that under these circumstances, that yes, I could return it for full refund. I tried to return it immediately as my son didn't want it, and was told no, store credit only. There is nothing in the store that I could get my son. They lied. I had an awful experience and would never recommend this store to anyone. This was at the Georgian Mall in Barrie, where I dealt with the store manager, and also with the owner from Midland who was absolutely terrible. Luckily I was able to sell it through social media, but it doesn't take away how poorly I was treated.

I totally recommend this store. Their products are amazing and the owner and staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you love what you buy. I have gotten quite a few shower gifts here and now that they have adult clothes I was able to buy myself an outfit today while I was getting another baby gift.

I took my mom to this shop as its one I've visited in the past and thought they had lovely children's items. The fact that no one acknowledged us the entire time we were there (it wasn't busy) didn't bother me but when I left to go next door (Evocative Essentials) I realized that my favorite apothecary store was no longer there but rather Sheps had expanded and taken over the space. I walked back into Sheps (formerly Little Monkey's Treehouse) and politely asked if the sales woman knew anything about the shop that used to be located next door. The response I got was "I own the building and I took back the space". Rude and annoyed doesn't even begin to describe the tone of voice. She then mentioned a new similar place across the street (which I learned afterwards belongs to her friend) and when I further inquired where EE was, I was simply told "around the corner on Elizabeth". I said I wasn't from the neighbourhood but would figure out where Elizabeth St was on my own. I got a blank stare in return. My mom and I left the store in disbelief. The brief interaction was so unpleasant that it prompted me to write my first negative review. Friendliness and politeness go a long way and I would think a shop owner would appreciate the importance of customer service. I will never step foot in this shop again because of this experience. p.s. I find it very timely that since I posted this review, there have been 5 brand new five star reviews posted in the same day. Most of which are first time posters (or employees of the store!)

To give this a 1-star is even generous!!! I was in the Barrie store today. My great nieces were with me (4 and 7). One girl picked up a 'riding stick' with a unicorn head on it. It immediately came apart (like many wooden poles do if not glued well). The mature woman (black hair, in her 50's) made a comment to the younger male clerk about 'she just broke it.' The comment was said very unkindly. I had merchandise in my hand I was gunna purchase but the rudeness was palpable. I quietly took the poke back to her & put it back together. She was blaming a child (in a children's store) for poorly made product. Without getting into it with her, I simply put my products back because that is not a store I want to give my money too. If that wasn't enough.....listen to this: This woman follows us into Sears (I did not know this) until we turn around in an aisle and there she is!!!!! She then mutters to me...'are you going to break something in this store too?' WHAT???????? Who does that? I felt stalked and to be honest, question your stores ability to hire suitable people to be around small children. I will be following up further to speak to someone who might want to apologize for this inappropriate behaviour. But to be clear.......I will never patronize this store again & will be telling others to do the same. Shameful, rude and borderline abusive/threatening!

If anyone has an opportunity for new shoes, this is the place to go. I went there today and she was very helpful. I had no idea what I was looking for for my little one. She was very knowledgeable and personable. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend going in!

Shep's General Store has a wide range of clothing, accessories, bags, kids clothing, quality kids shoes, eco products, and giftables. My go to for most of my daughters shoes, boots, and clothes - Ill always throw a little something in for myself. Karen has done a phenomenal job transitioning over from kids to general store. Shop online, and pick up in store!
