I engaged SBA to repair a fridge. Technician came out promptly, diagnosed, promised to have a part in and repair completed within a week. After nearly four weeks of calls back and runaround, there were sheepish apologies made--our work order was nowhere to be found, the technician didn't remember our repair, and we would have to start over again from square one. I declined, and called another shop, which had our fridge running in 2 days. Fully a month later, SBA called to let me know, they had the part in. If I had waited, I'd have been without a fridge for 9 weeks. I cannot recommend.

I was very impressed with Donna in the office and Robert, the owner and service repair person. The communication with both of them was excellent. This is the second time we've had repairs done by them and will certainly call again when needing any appliance repaired.

Robert was hired to repair my Samsung refrigerator ice maker. I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism.The service was completed in a timely manner. Robert was pleasant and demonstrated a positive attitude. I highly recommend him for appliance service.

I agree completely with Kim Westdorp regard Shelter Bay Appliances and Mechanical as a business. The people are very friendly, but the service doesn't rate a single star out of 5 stars. Our dishwasher broke and I suspected it was the control panel. I went to their place of business and asked if they could get me the part (I had photographed the tag with the make and model on it and gave it to them). They decided to sent a service tech out to our house to look at the dishwasher (turned out it was Robert the owner) and he took his own picture and confirmed that the make and model were the same as what I had presented in my photo. He then told me that he wasn't an instrument tech and couldn't tell me if it was the control panel or the motherboard. He attempted to phone the supplier but they were closed. Robert then handed me a service call bill for $80 plus tax. I asked him why I was getting billed when he hadn't even confirmed whether or not they could get the part. I will never use them again and will continue to contact everyone I know and make a strong suggestion that they don't use them either. I look forward to reading their reply to my negative feedback. Apparently I have to select at least one star in order to comment...their damn lucky to receive even that

Robert was excellent. Prompt, thoughtful, and most important, got the right fix done cost efficiently. Shelley in the office was very efficient and made the whole experience positive. My lettuce doesn’t freeze anymore!

Don't like being hung up on I offered to pay cash just needed to know when a tech could come not cust. Friendly would not recommend your service I have done business with Rick at rocks appl for many years and sent many customers when I see him again I will let him know about my experience with uou

This business barely deserves one star in my opinion. Very disappointed with their services. We called about our four year old Bosch dishwasher not draining and they charged me $128.00, and suggested it was fixed. It wasn't, as it still was not draining. Robert came back after numerous phone calls and an email, didn't charge us for a second visit, but still couldn't fix the problem. He suggested we needed a $209.00 mother board, which in talking to Bosch and Home Depot they disagreed with him. He never even pulled the dishwasher out. After all this, we finally just bought a new dishwasher. Save your money. Nice enough guy, but he certainly did not fix our problem and we would NEVER use this company again.
