★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Truth is who books a wedding photographer for 500 dollars and expect things to work out Id be embarresed to give a photographer that...your 1500 wedding dress seamed more worth the money..how is a photographer supposed to make a living...u people complaining took a poormans route to the most important day of your lives. I think its very hard for independent photographers to make a living in the first place..if you respected the profession more u would not be in this situation..hire your drunk brother in law next time. Did not one of you in your partnership think of a proper budget for your wedding...how many of you bragged that you got a deal on the photography cause u knew her in high school ....you cant buy a cup of coffee these days for that money...ok flowers 600. Dress 1500 ...venue and meals 10000...wedding pictures 500..are u kidding

This woman did not just take our money but she actually had the nerve to show up at our wedding, take all of our photos, then follow up afterwards saying she was editing the photos and had a preview for us, THEN after getting paid she will not answer any of my calls, emails, or messages on Facebook, instagram, or Twitter. It has been 8 months. She has even blocked me on twitter and Instagram so that I cannot contact her that way. This is not a matter of being lazy or disorganized, she is actively avoiding me because she has stolen my money on top of the only photos I have of my ceremony. The police have been contacted. Please don't hire her.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Save yourself the stress and hire a true professional. Pictures were great, but the professionalism and communication were too stressful and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone! Photos were late, previews were late, and she doesn’t respond to emails, texts or phone calls. She just avoids everything and then gives bogus excuses like “computer problems” and promises a delivery date and then can’t even deliver on that!
Like I said, pictures were great, but the lack of communication both before the wedding and after were awful. I shouldn’t have to chase down my photographer to discuss the timeline for my wedding day, or what shots I want etc. Nor should I have to chase her down to receive my photos once I’ve paid in full.

Our wedding was in February 2018 and we booked Shelby for videography services. We have been attempting to contact her for more than a year now. She continues to ignore us and we have not received any video footage. We are completely heartbroken since we have lost precious memories that we can never get back. At this point, it is not even a matter of money... She has taken something from us that can never be replaced by anyone else. It has been extremely stressful attempting to make contact with her and she has clearly been ignoring other clients as well. She has definitely made me re-evaluate my trust in people.

My sister got married in October 2018 and till this day she STILL has NOT received her pictures. There have been multiple attempts made to contact Shelby and all attempts were ignored. She was supposed to bring a junk drive with the pictures to an event this weekend just passed and she ended up “forgetting” it at home. It’s unfortunate that you try to be nice and give someone a chance and then something like this happens. A wedding should be something you can remember forever and unfortunately my sister will not have the pictures to help her remember her beautiful day. Whatever you do, DO NOT HIRE SHELY MORELL!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WARNING! DO NOT HIRE!!! ZERO STARS (Google forces you to put one! just to be able to post a review) Shelby is unable to follow through and deliver photos as promised or in a timely manner. She arrived late, took tons of photos and we are still asking for the rest of the photos 10 weeks. And of course, we were kind enough to pay her upfront. Even a preview came weeks and weeks later. AND THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT there are multiple couples to whom she has done worse and ignores. Check that out on her Facebook reviews.
Now, all that being said, if you are a thrill seeker and want to gamble on whether or not you'll get any photos after your photo shoot or maybe have your friends and family place bets to see how many months later they will come - then Shelby is the girl with a camera for you! If you find that still not enough fun, you could also bet on how many fake apologies she will send. Just don't make the stakes too high on that one, she will ignore 90% of your messages! I recommend finding a PROFESSIONAL with a camera and leave the girl to finish up with the rest of her clients who are still waiting on work from her.
