★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place in the foothills of the Rockies, under an hour drive from Calgary. Lots of easy to medium, even strenuous hikes. Half of the year the road is closed and there is very limited access. If you get there in that time you will see wild animals roaming around...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a beautiful park. Not overcrowded with people. Great scenery and blue water at the falls. Very quiet and calming. You can walk a distance along the shoreline and checkout the formations created by the waterway. On this trip we saw one buck and two bears. NOTE: Be aware of your trash. Pick up after yourself. We saw over 20 pieces of various trash dropped or left behind by others.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just like it says on the label! This is a good place to see mountain sheep. You will often spot them on the bare self-facing Hillside above the highway near its end; sometimes they will graze right along with the side of the road. For an added attraction, Drive a couple of kilometers up the gravel side road labeled Gorge Creek to view an even deeper Gorge than the sheep River cuts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an awesome place to visit and camp, there is also a day use area at the end of the highway at the turn around. Blue rock camp ground is also a great place to hang out with the family for a few days, lots of hikes and bikes to do in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Down the Sheep River Rd from Turner Valley lies the Sheep River Valley. The Sandy McNab campground is quite popular on the west bank of the river. Several hiking trails to explore the area start from there or not far from there. Campsites are shaded and the smoke from the fires in the crazy province west of us doesn't seem to come that way as much. The falls are a bit further down the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So beautiful, spent 30 minutes by the waterfall by Indian Oil before heading up Mount Hoffman. Fairly easy summit with great views.
