About Shawarma Khan

Shawarma is a Middle Eastern style of meat preparation that involves roasting the meat on a slowly rotating vertical spit. All the meat at Shawarma Khan is 100% natural with no preservatives, no fillers, no hormones and no antibiotics. The meat is marinated in a blend of Middle Eastern influenced spices then piled high on a vertical rotisserie. Slow cooked for hours the meat has a signature “melt in your mouth” flavour. The meat is then shaved and served in either a pita or a plate fresh vegetables and an array of sauces.

In addition to our great shawarma we have a wonderful selection of vegetarian and vegan options. These include falafel, a wide selection of salads that vary day by day and home cooked rice and potatoes.

All of our food and sauces are prepared on site and are always fresh. Shawarma Khan serves only Zabiha Halal shawarma, with gluten free and vegan options available. Please refer to our menu page to see the many choices we have to offer.

Last time I got the meats on a separate tray, the salads in separate containers, the pitas in separate container/tray. Flavour, presentation, food... Was amazing. This time again for my birthday... I was extremely disappointed; everything was mixed. The salads were mixed! You don't mix the salads because then the separate flavours become one. The pitas were already assembled which in other middle Eastern restaurants you can have the choice of eating separate. The pitas/wrap themselves did not have enough meat in them and was falvourless. When I arrived to pick up the food a staff member kindly gave us extra garlic sauce; which was great and my favourite... When I got home... The famous garlice taste... NOT THERE. Last time for my birthday they gave a side if beets too... The food was purchased at the Pembina location. I am extremely disappointed how far the bar has fallen from this place.

This location which is close to u of m keeps up the good quality of food, price is reasonable but portion can be larger. Will definitely come back. Good place to grab a quick wrap if you are around the area.
Y	Yifei Yao on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am unhappy because of the services. The food was so-so. I ordered an 10.99$ kabab plate. But they made a mistake, charged me for 13.49$ as beef plate. Beef plate is larger than kabab plate. I went to my car to eat, and noticed the mistake. I asked for a refund, he gave me 1.5$ coins. I was confused. Even we don't include tax, 10.99+1.5=12.49. So I didn't leave. He gave me another 1$ coin, said this should be enough. So I left, but still unhappy. The small price difference is not so important to me. People make mistake, I understand. But In the end I feel I was treated like a beggar.
E	Ebby on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Before I delve into the not-so-great aspects of this restaurant, I want to appreciate the restaurant staff who attended to me. She was very kind and thoughtful. She saw that I liked the salads and decided to give me 10% off. Unfortunately, The quality of this restaurant has deteriorated so much. I spent over $20 on a quick bite here and nothing tastes good! I got the Tabouleh salad thought I would love it but it actually doesn’t taste great. I usually use quinoa as part of my Tabouleh recipe, but I’m not sure what was used as a replacement here at Shawarma Khan. Whatever it was, it is not as tasty as quinoa in a Tabouleh. The chickpea salad is also not great-very salty. Goodness, I’m so disappointed! Worst of all was the shawarma. It was so soggy! I had to open it up and eat it as a meal, but still all that was salvageable was the meat, onions and pickles. The remaining veggies were so soggy. I’ve had Shawarma here before and it wasn’t this terrible. Other places in the city serve better shawarma, I recommend trying others as opposed to this one. It may look tasty but your taste buds would most probably be disappointed.

I came to 10 prior to the closing time (which I didn't know) and the lady at the counter was very rude and wasn't happy about it. A lady customer came after me and the way she was treated was very bad. Both the women at the counter wasn't even responding to her questions . Very humiliating and insulting.

Every time my husband and I try to get dinner delivered there's an issue (4+ times!). This last time we called our order in and picked it up. Normally that's not a problem but we have a new baby at home and it would have been so much easier if the food could have been delivered. :(

Well worth the wait. we ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and mix platter and Both were very good. Service was decent and the dining space was clean and tidy. Definitely going back to try the other things. Overall 4.5/5
