Beautifully restored Temple. Workmanship and attention to detail seen throughout. I have been here numerous times and find the staff helpful and engaging. On Canada Day weekend they hold a Re-enactment dedicated to the Rebellion of 1837. Very entertaining indeed! ?

Needs more worship but otherwise it looks magical. I am blown away that they actually have a Jacob's ladder. Would recommend to all my friends, including Nic Worr.

Sharon Temple was built for music so if you ever get the opportunity to go to a concert there don't miss it. It is an intimate venue that is ideal for weddings and concerts. You can also visit Sharon Temple and explore the historic grounds. It's just north of Newmarket.

Beautiful church, not your typical. But the history behind it and all the architectural structures preserved for years is worth checking out!

The Sharon Temple is located on beautiful grounds and has a rich history. I call it our own little Pioneer Village up north: not as extensive, but similar. I have had the privilege of meeting the staff who provided a supportive environment for my daughter who worked there over the last couple of years. It's a great site for a picnic, wedding photos, or just a trip out. They also host concerts and other special events. Definitely worth exploring. Be sure to check out the chicken coupe with the quirky name, "Fluffy Butt Hut."

Good value for your money. There is parking available in a lot attached to the site plus plenty of parking on the surrounding street. Admission was only $5. There are several buildings you can walk through on a self-guided tour. After you finish the walk inside the temple which is very interesting to look at because of the large amount of symbolism used, the first building you're to walk through looks at how a museum is created (e.g. how the site was purchased, how they come to acquire different artifacts as well as choose which donates artifacts to include in exhibits, how historically significant buildings were moved to the site, etc.) which is a different angle but is appropriate considering this site was supposed to be an early example of historical preservation. I took one star off this review because of two things: I wish there was more information about the Children of Peace religion because I don't know anything about them. The second issue I had was a lack of signage inside buildings that provide context to what you're looking at which can be problematic when there aren't any historical interpreters present to explain what you're seeing.

This is a special piece of Canadian history, an architectural wonder, and a must see.

Very pleasant location with just enough educational plaques and brochures to be informative about the origins of the buildings. The staff were very helpful!
