Severely understaffed location. Woman at the Welcome booth was wonderful. Time waited was only about 20 minutes.

How can you properly "service" the general public if you are open 30 min AFTER most people go to work and close Exactly the time most people get off work? How can you take a lunch during the only time most working people have for lunch and errands? Also how can an employee of Service Canada flat out lie about correcting minor mistakes on an application forcing a person to travel back and forth while taking time off work? Only to have a truely competant employee FINALLY walk a person through step by step and told the final changes that are needed and that we one would have to come back at a later time. I feel that little to no effort was produced by the inital employee and that such an employee be repremanded as the rest of the public would at their own job for pure incompetence.

Service Canada is an absolute joke. I wish there was an option for a zero star review, because 1 star is too much. How can a business that claims to serve Canadians, open half an hour after Canadians go to work and close their doors an hour before they get off work? If you do manage to get in there in their ridiculous hours of operation chances are you will stand in line for 30 minutes before being told that they cannot help you and you must go to Edmonton for further assistance.

I don't know why many Service Canada clients don't report very well. I can only say that I was always treated well, and some cases take longer and so you have to take waiting times into account. It's no different in other countries, and I just say "termina le discussioni" :-)

I called the 1-800 number to check on turn around time for our passport renewals if we were sending them from the GP office. Sedrick, the man I spoke with, was extremely helpful and found out all the information I needed in a very short time. Great service:-)

Absolutely horrible!!! I wanted to apply for a passport for my little one. Needing to travel out the country to visit my grandma who is very ill, the guy tells me there is no way I can get a passport within a week!! When asking a few questions he wouldn't even give me accurate answers as I have traveled for all my life countless times a year I know a little bit more about traveling then the guy at service would have thought. If i could i would not even give 1 star. I am not happy at all! With him knowing we want to travel I think the least he could have done is guided me to a place where I could rush the passport.

Not sure why the canadian website states that Grande Prairie office will review passport documents when I was told they dont when I showed up there yesterday.

Slow service, spent time applying for the wrong type of renewal even though they looked over the application at the desk completely wasted my time. Imagine spending ~1 hour at Service Canada only to later be told that you filled out the wrong application, an application that they clearly looked over at their reception. It's disappointing the level of "service" from Service Canada. Whether it's the fault of the staff working there or the lack of funding my experience at Service Canada was astoundingly terrible. One of the staff I had previously interacted with met people with a sour attitude and made the experience uncomfortable for myself and probably ruined the experience of other people applying for services for their first time. I am not sure how someone could work at a place and not get fired. I saw the aforementioned worker "helping" someone applying for a service all the while with a poor attitude and mean voice. The individual asking for help seemed to be getting frustrated and situation was only resolved after what seemed to be a supervisor help the asking individual.
