I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly I was seen and how fast I was in and out of the office.

The lunch hour of 11:30-12:30 needs to be added. I travelled for four hours and was not allowed to see a service rep at 11:25. Thank You!

The hours suck! They close for a hour lunch, it should be added to the hours. I took time off work at lunch and they were closed. How are people who work the same hours supposed to get their passports done in CR?

This is not an issue with the services provided through Service Canada, my issue was completely with the utterly unhelpful and blatantly rude front desk lady. I have no idea how she justifies her paycheck. People like her should not be in a position interact with people in need.

Greeter was belligerent and virtually no help at all. I had to wait for a person ahead of me who seemed somewhat aggressive toward the greeter and I thought it was he who was the problem but after getting my turn with the warden I realized it was her and not him. I would not have a person with that sort of temperament in my company. I have had extremely helpful interactions in the same office where the employees were cheerful and very helpful. I left the office completely satisfied.

My experience from August 17 2021, Be aware that to enter this building you first have to be vetted by an uninformed, poorly trained, temperamental, contract teenage security individual. This security individual could not answer my Service Canada related inquiry (intuitively understandable as how would he know the inner workings of a Federally funded Service Center), yet the customer service reps were trying to address the question I had as they seemed genuinely helpful as they could hear of the inquiry that I had (regarding recreation permits/tagging). I should also mention to that their were no other customers in there and all service reps were without clients (luckily). I’m assuming due to the insecurity of looking foolish or uninformed in front of the Service Canada staff, the security individual decided to literally scream at the top of his lungs that I am not to talk to any of the customer service reps (nor them with me) without his consent. The customer service reps and myself were very much taken back by his lack of temperament/training and clearly unneeded, conflict inducing actions. Luckily for me the adults in the room quickly resolved the inquiry I had with Service Canada while the door attended continued that inquiry be directed to him. Be aware that not everyone handles conflict well when entering the building nor does one not know who will be coming in behind you. The actions of this poorly trained security door attendant will cause greater conflict for management and staff if not corrected. Everyone’s level of being verbally abused is different and luckily my threshold is high as I have my level of reactionary responses voluntarily under control. Someone coming into the branch with a mental health disorder or under other duress related issues……going to be hard to deescalate that situation when someone clearly unqualified is the person vetting one’s inquiry to a publicly funded resources Service Center. I would suggest making an appointment (if even possible?) to avoid the contract security vetting process to talk to the Service Center Representatives. I only hope that the management of this branch recognizes this issue before there are any future conflict and/or harm to the staff or customers of the Service Canada Branch.
