★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My father worked his entire 40 year career with Calgary Power Ltd. / TransAlta Utilities and he had worked at Seebe Dam often, early in his career. He had many fond memories of Seebe and even took us there to see it when we went to Banff or Lake Louise for the day so that we could experience the Beauty, Peacefulness and Serenity that the area offered. I still remember when they put the town and buildings up for sale. Many of the people who lived and worked, in the company owned town, were there as it closed forever and lots of tears were shed. It’s a PROUD AND PRECIOUS PART OF THE ELECTRICITY GENERATION STORY OF EARLY SOUTHERN ALBERTA THAT’S STILL IN USE TODAY, A PROUD PART OF THE HISTORY OF CALGARY POWER LTD./TRANSALTA UTILITIES/FORTIS AND A HISTORIC PART OF SOUTHERN ALBERTA HERITAGE SITES. Being Very Close to my dad, it will always have a Special Place in my heart, too! My father passed away in 2006 at 76 years of age. R.I.P. Dad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really beautiful place. I’m not too sure if there are actually view points for it. We walked through the trees a bit to get to the edge. There’s a cool old bridge to drive across down the road and you can see the lake/reservoir as a whole.
