★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always something neat to find here. The owner is kind and appreciative of his customers. Boo The Magnificent is a 17 year old cat who actually runs the place. The prices are fair and the books are always in good condition. I visit as often as I can.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exactly what you want and need out of a used book store! Tons of books stacked high on shelves, and a cat. Good selection, good prices, and a super cool old analog cash register (they have a debit machine too though)
I got there 15 mins before closing and the guy was in no rush. Gave me no pressure. 10/10 will be returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful used bookshop with a great stock (excellent sections on history, Canadiana, BC studies, and adventure/travel writing, among others) at affordable prices. The owner is most friendly and helpful, and his cat is a darling! Well worth the trip to Courtenay if you’re travelling on the Island.
