Second Floor Events

Second Floor was the perfect spot for our wedding. The team is excellent - everyone is so kind, thoughtful and helpful. Rachael and Cindy were there with us every step of the way and helped us make the most out of doing a wedding during a pandemic. The night-of staff were also personable and anticipated our every need. Our guests loved the warmth of the venue and loved the food. If you are looking to have your wedding in downtown Toronto, look no further. You'll have a magical experience at Second Floor.

This venue is really cute and the staff were amazing! They were very friendly, prompt, and kind. This event space was perfect for our formal. Our event coordinator, Cindy, was super helpful throughout the planning process as well. I would definitely recommend this venue!

One of the main reasons we chose Second Floor Events was - truly -because of the staff. The space was cool, youthful and warm - but the people were even warmer. They clearly prioritize hiring kind, enthusiastic individuals who are organized and strong communicators. As it turns out, that wound up to be far more important than the general aesthetic of the space. My husband and I were one of many unfortunate souls afflicted with constantly changing our wedding plans due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. We were forced to cancel our wedding with only one month to spare and then spent the next year(+) attempting to reschedule the event. After many hard decisions to postpone a couple times, we finally moved forward with a micro-wedding including only our wedding party as guests. Second Floor Events could have been our enemy in this situation. After all, as a company, they had just as much - if not more - to lose. However, there were always supportive, compassionate and accommodating while maintaining a positive attitude (that we desperately needed). There were several times during contract re-negotiations that I felt I was reaching a breaking point. I am endlessly thankful that Second Floor Events was always ready to strategize and offer new solutions to consider. They also did not scam us financially, which was one of our biggest fears. In the end, our wedding was magical. Even though we didn't get everything we may have wanted, we got everything we needed. The day was intimate, beautiful and full of so much love. Thank you to Second Floor Events, especially Rachael, for being part of our support system during a wild, hellish ride that you were also trapped in with us.

Excellent Food and Service during the pandemic. We booked this event for a law firm holiday party in 2021 and they were great! They gave us suggestions of what to do for themes and the food and drinks were top notch. We will definitely be keeping them on our "to call" list for future events.

Throughout the process of planning our pandemic-wedding, Rachael and Nicole were able to maintain great communication, allowing us to postpone and fully customize our day and menu to accommodate the ever-changing government restrictions. The food offered by the kitchen staff is AMAZING; worthy of satisfying even the most critical foodies in our guest list. Wish we could order takeout from there ;) Really pleasant staff that adhered to COVID regulations, great central location and modern looking space. We had the best day ever and we’re so happy we got to host our wedding here! Thank you Second Floor!

The perfect venue to host our Annual Reunion Party. The staff was also very helpful and responsive throughout the planning process. I would definitely host an event here again!

Amazing experience as wedding photographers with this venue. They were super nice, friendly and treated us with respect as working professionals on a very busy wedding day. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING.....thank you. The venue is stunning and well taken care of and my couple had a great time.

My husband and I had our wedding at Second Floor Events in February 2022 and had an incredible day. We feel lucky to have picked this venue as they were truly fantastic to work with during especially challenging pandemic times. Rachael and Cindy were wonderful from our booking date right through to the wedding day, and made themselves available as resources to talk through the many, many government restriction changes that occurred during planning. We went for an all-inclusive package, and opted to upgrade our bar - there are a few single malt scotch aficionados in our family as well as picky wine drinkers, and everyone was thrilled with the selection. We wanted a few specialty cocktails and they were incredibly accommodating, plus the bartenders were professional, fun and attentive as was the service staff during dinner and cocktails. The staff was also thoughtful enough to put canapés into our bridal suite so that we could have a quiet moment to ourselves, paying special attention to my dietary restrictions to ensure I could fully enjoy them. We were thrilled with the decor add-ons (we customized the light boxes, Edison bulbs and lectern) and everything was gorgeous. Our guests could NOT stop raving about the food. Cindy was our venue coordinator and was there on the day of our wedding to help coordinate all details. She was fabulous with all our vendors leading up to the event as well. Our day-of coordinator mentioned how organized and thoughtful she was. Thanks so much to the Second Floor team for the best day ever. It could not have been better!
