L	L N on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Started in September 2020 when I asked to close all my accounts, one if which had a small overdraft and one that had investments. After several phone calls to numerous people I was told they only way to pull my investments and close my account was to have an in person meeting at the local branch who happened to have changed their hours so they were no longer open past 3 pm on week days and closed Saturdays (due to covid). I begged them to allow me to close my accounts through email or phone/zoom to avoid exposing my children since daycare is not an option (2 year waitlist as anyone living here would know). Now months later I am still dealing with this and their head office is now telling me to find someone I know to take a day off work so that I can come in without my kids or just bring them. Even though we have just gone into further health restrictions due to increasing cases of covid nice to see they have me and my families health at the forefront. Thanks scotia, this is exactly why i am leaving as a customer.

M	Mari L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the most inconvenient bank in Squamish, hands down. Cleveland street parking is always a nightmare, whereas BMO, CIBC, TD, and RBC all have lots. Their hours are 930am-4pm and only open Monday - Friday. Not all things are possible via the app or online so this bank is only appropriate for retirees or the unemployed, people who don’t work full time, or anyone in the nightlife industry. How is it possible that bankers aren’t even working 40-hr work weeks right now?

This branch took money out of my account and paid it to a life insurance company that I have zero connection to. You'd think after 5 hours of calling, emailing, having their Office of the President call them, contacting Scotiabank's ombudsman, someone in the branch would find time to give me a call. Ah for the good old days when someone actually answered the phone when you called instead of directing your call to a Contact Centre, leaving you on hold for an extremely long time (high call volumes!! what a crock that is), and then being able to do absolutely nothing but say they've sent a voicemail to the branch's manager. She must be extremely useless at her job.

Zero call backs, long wait times on the phone only to be cut off. Time to pick a different place to bank with.
