The negligence at this bank even surprised Scotiabank's own loans department. Never bring a bank draft, cheque or certified cheque to this branch. They did not track and either misplaced, or worse, a bank draft for $18,000 to pay off an auto loan. They were not helpful in rectifying the situation and I have had to go up to the office of the president to start an investigation into this branch. This issue has caused serious grievance and harm. tl;dr there are better banks than this one, I can't rate this bank low enough.

Terrible service from Scotiabank. Went to see bank manager Mary to help with a Scotia Itrade problem where my account and my son's account were frozen due to paperwork not received from our branch. Mary said she would take care of it and give me a call back but never heard from her again. Left her a message a week later....never heard from her. I talked with Tony the assistant manager a couple times...never called me back always had to call him. This is the kind of service you get from a manager and assistant manager of a bank. Maybe their just in trend with all the customer service you get these days....garbage! By the way my son's account is still frozen losing money and not able to do anything. Thanks Scotiabank and Scotia Itrade for all the headaches .

I am having the same issue that a few have posted about so far. I am having a financial issue that requires them to handle. I contact 1 person and am told she will start the paperwork, 6 weeks later I still haven't heard anything so i try and call and try and try to no avail. Finally i get a hold of someone completely unrelated to the issue and a couple weeks later im told that i need to talk to someone else because the first person passed it off and never said anything. My advisor has been changed several times this year and im left explaining the situation to each IF i finally manage to get a hold of them. Now im trying to call yet another new advisor they have given me and it goes direct to his voice mail which tells me to call the 1-800 number and then hangs up. I don't even have the option to leave him a message. I am very very frustrated with this branch right now and am at the point of closing not only my personal accounts but my business accounts as well. Their communication is SEVERELY lacking and as a small business owner, this is NOT a good thing for me. I can't be spending that much time chasing them in order to deal with MY money they have total control over. UPDATE MORE THEN A MONTH LATER!!! STILL have received no calls from any one at the branch. I have left the branch manager messages stating my disgust for the customer service and that I will be switching banks, as well as telling her my next call will be to the district VP and 1 month after that call I still have not heard anything from ANYONE. This has been a long process and I will be calling the VP today to let him know this branch has been of no use at all, and that all my accounts will be getting transferred to another bank as soon as (or IF ) the issue is dealt with. Looks like im going to have to waist a couple hours of my busy day to go into the branch and voice myself in a more personal fashion. DISGUSTED

I got a call from Jordan Aronson with a pre-approved offer to renew the mortgage so I took him on the offer and told him due to lot of equity on the property I would also like a HELOC. He asked me why? This should have been a sign to not take him up on the offer as this showed he lacked knowledge of the product. Nevertheless, we set an appointment. The day I meet him in person I realize how cold and lackluster in knowledge he was. He lured us in to use us as a lead as we later found out he is not even a mortgage broker but rather a mutual fund representative. He told us he will process everything after he is back from his vacation and requested some documents over the e-mail. I sent him the documents that he requested and never heard back from him. Then he e-mails me back asking me to remind him what is it he was doing for me. I called him and he told me that I did not get approved. This was shocking as I got a pre-approved offer so I told him you just asked me to refresh your memory and all of a sudden when I call you, you’re telling me I did not get approved? He told me due to a record in my credit bureau, which was total non-sense as my both credit bureaus is at 800. I immediately hang-up. I accepted the offer from Scotia Bank online and now have my mortgage renewed with very good rate only waiting on the HELOC and all this without Jordan. Beware Jordan is not a real mortgage broker nor does he have any knowledge. He will mislead to you to get you in the door and generate a lead and would not care thereafter and only to mislead you to disaster.

Keep getting calls from Claudia Jones.. I tried to return the call a few times but the phone keeps cutting out... I work long hours and don't have a lot of time to answer the phone... My email(which should be on file) would be best way to contact me or, when leaving a message, please let me know what you are wanting to discuss... Thanks!

This bank only wants your money and refuses to help when you’re stuck

A big thank you to Madeline Belanger who took good care of me. I was not happy with the Innes Branch due to transfer issues but was taken good care of by this branch with Madeline sorting everything out for me. I will be making this my branch now due to her excellent service. Thank you Madeline!

They have to service their ATM machines. Was withdrawing and lost 20 bucks. Still caught some employees at the end of the day, they said they were going to check, but they were just letting people out one by one, and didn't ask me to come in. .. they told me I'll have to call... So I've lost an hour of hard work and was lead on for 20 min ...after almost 10 years of working with them, guess because I wasn't wearing a suit, I'm not important. Fine, plenty of other banks around
