We dined in since another Italian restaurant was preparing to close. Overall, everything was ok. The calamari was very chewy, probably overcooked, and it seemed like it was deep fried twice. It was also very sour, but the deep fried peppers were nice. We ordered the Spaghetti Puttanesca, Mushroom Truffle Fettucine, and Spaghetti with their famous 1 1/2 pound meatball. The calamari in the Puttanesca dish was also overcooked and very chewy, but the shrimps were good. The dish had some heat but it also had olives in it which seemed to contradict the dish. The pasta was also oddly mushy and hard at the same time- it was almost as if it was boiled in starchy water, but was undercooked. (Not al dente, undercooked) The Mushroom Truffle Fettucine was good but was very buttery and could've used a crack of pepper and salt, it also could've used a croustini since the dish didn't have meat. The Spaghetti and meatball was good except for the pasta. The meatball was tasty and was almost like meatloaf consistency, the sauce and flavor was nice but the pasta ruined the dish. It was edible, but not good. I would describe our overall experience like that: edible but not good. The drinks and service were good and we decided not to get dessert for obvious reason. Maybe their other dishes are great but our experience here was just ok. We drove for hours to visit Toronto so we ate mostly out of hunger, but we may not return.

I love Scaddabush however this was my first time at this location and I was very disappointed. To start with we arrived there staff was very dry and we felt like we were an inconvenience. We were given a table some menus and we waited for a server around 15-20minutes . The table in front of us was in the same situation, they seemed as frustrated as us and they had been waiting longer than us. (Disclaimer the restaurant wasn’t full at all) while we were waiting for someone to take our order , one girl came threw us some water with glasses , didn’t even looked at us in the eyes and said your server should be coming soon. We waited and waited . Next thing we had , a girl turning on the candles around the restaurant and around us but still no one to take our order . FINALLY , someone arrived to get our order, they apologized for the wait and we understood, they may be understaffed . We get our order everything was good . We wanted to order something else from the menu . We again waited and waited until someone came . We ordered and we waited. We get our second order is the wrong plate , so we waited again to get someone’s attention to changed it up since this wasn’t what we ordered. The wait at this point wasn’t that bad, we were just used to it. Then we had one of the managers come to our table and apologized, because she knew we waited to order and now we get the wrong order, so she offered a free dessert on the house we accepted and then she asked us if we wanted to order second drink since our drinks were done, my partner wanted another beer so he asked her for another one. We were surprised that they were aware of what was going on, and made us feel better that it wasn’t just us . We got our right order, and then we order the dessert (the donuts) . They put our dessert and never picked up our other plate, we had an small table so space was crucial for this . At this point we were done, my partner never got his second beer that he ordered, and it was overall just bad service . We ordered the bill and it was around 67$ , when we were passed the machine they were overcharging us, completely different of what it said on the bill . Overall we were very disappointed, the food was good but the way we got treated just wasn’t worth it . Very disorganized and very sad that a chain restaurant I love so bad has such a bad management. I’ll probably be getting maybe take out from now on if so .

Delicious food, great service, and a menu filled with choices for everyone. The most ideal location to attract locals as well as tourists. We ate the Margarita pizza and a pasta dish with some extra garlic bread and chilli oil!

Natalie was fantastic! Delicious housemate mozzarella (especially the option with prosciutto!). Natalie gave us the hot tip of taking a toasted piece of foccacia, spreading the fig jam, adding a pinch of salt, putting some mozzarella on it, then wrapping it all in a slice of prosciutto. ? I always enjoy my meals and the atmosphere here. Less busy than other restaurants closer to Rogers Centre before the Jays game (but not for long!)

Wouldn't call this as one of nice Italian restaurants. Bruschetta was soggy, tomatoes were not good quality (duh!). We tried 3 different pasta, none were particularly tasty. Desserts were better than the main cuisine. Nice Service and good ambience though.

Friendly service and experience when taking my friends over here for their first time. The server looked over the menus for my friend about the ingredients that were in the fettuccine bolognese. A few minutes later, the manager came over to our table to make sure that my friend will be safe when ordering her pasta. Very courteous and mindful of them when running the restaurant. Food was delicious and top notch! We ordered the 3-cheese charity bread as the appetizer and it was delicious! My friends were not a fan of bread appetizers but they enjoyed this appetizer very much. We enjoyed the crunch and sauce for it very much. As for the main course, we ordered the chicken and gnocchi, lemon and garlic shrimp spaghetti, and the fettuccine bolognese. Very filling and tasty for us to devour. Will definitely come back again when we are in the downtown area!

This was our 1st time ever at a Scaddabush restaurant....We were a party of 6 on a Saturday night (I suggest you make a reservation...or its up to 1h wait at bar or available table) The Atmosphere was very Warm..as was the Service...Food & Drinks well presented & served promptly! Our main waitress Selena was such a Professional...she also doubles as one of the bar tenders So she can make cocktail drinks & still provide excellent table service while taking your orders & then presenting your food & drinks with such etiquette & grace! ALL the staff here work hard & work well as a team to provide an amazing experience...My party of 6, we are all from hotels, restaurants & hospitality, so we recognize greatness & Scaddabush Toronto on Front Street is GREATNESS ??

The service was good and fast, the staff seemed organized and we got to our table pretty fast despite not making a reservation. We got the food pretty fast too and it was pretty good. The pizza was crunchy and the flavours worked well together. The meatball in the spaghetti, the signature dish of the restaurant, is pretty good, but I found the pasta a bit mushy, and some of them were not cooked properly. The drinks were okay, but our order got mixed up. The portions are pretty big. overall it was a good experience.
