About Saskatoon Community Clinic - Westside
The Saskatoon Community Clinic is a primary health care service provider. Our ultimate goal is to build a healthy population by offering support that focuses on healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, patient education and diagnosis and treatment.
Our inter-disciplinary group of salaried health professionals work together as a team to provide a wide range of services and programs at two locations: Downtown Clinic (455 2nd Ave. N.) and Westside Clinic (1528 20th St. W).
We are Saskatoon’s only primary health care co-operative. A co-operative, by definition, is an organization with a willingness and ability to work with others. It is owned by and operated for the benefit of those using its services. The co-operative structure involves member input in policy and direction setting. Co-operatives follow seven principles:
- Voluntary and open membership
- Democratic member control
- Member economic participation
- Autonomy and independence
- Education, training and information
- Co-operation among co-operatives
- Concern for community
Those who use our services can become members of the Community Health Services (Saskatoon) Association Ltd. The Community Health Services (Saskatoon) Association Ltd. is a non-profit health care co-operative that lives by this definition and follows these principles. It is the governing body for the Saskatoon Community Clinic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Use to think positive anout this place except for today im a recovering addict who makes it to most of my appointments and urinalisis are all clean but today they meaning receptionist and counselor who should make people happy about thier recovery and aid them in it not make everything so hard i am a full time student and a parent with 5 children so i have little room to run around and do things also i missed to many days of school so i had to rebook they then made it hard from there so disappointed but dr markington rocks

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely rude receptionist, katty, condescending and inept! Yes lady I will argue back and Im not even a patient but a friend who gave a ride. Unreal wait time 2 hours then another 20 past 5pm for the doctor to finally call in the script! No wonder you are placed in the bottom of the barrel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love our doctor at the clinic but the reception staff are really terrible. They can't seem to get their stories straight, each one tells you something different. It's a headache to figure things out. We've learned to double check everything from appointment times to whether they have the shot you made the appointment to get.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent service been receiving care at this clinic for over a year now. However the wait time is ridiculously long. Sometimes I waited 2 hours! For my appointment for the quickest check ups. Usually I have other inquiries and schedules such as work, booked in a hour before my shift starts for a quick mandatory checkup and wait itself is an hour and a half. Some days I can't book in mandatory checkups because I knew I can't get a whole day booked off for a appointment because of financial barriers and at the same time I need check up for health.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most of the receptionists (especially Amanda) are very kind and helpful. The doctors are great. The only thing about going here is sometimes it gets extremely busy and wait times can get very long.
