We purchased a VF700 Envirolet system back in August 2013 through Sancor Industries direct in Canada, as the Australian agent was, unbeknown to us at the time, on very unstable financial grounds & has since gone bust, no a good sign! The system appears ok, but the fans are not particularly robust & there is no motor on the breather vent so when there is no wind the vent doesn't turn resulting in bad odours. One of the WC's we received has broken hinges in the undamaged box & now Sancor Industries are completely ignoring our warranty enquiries. Their service was excellent until they got our money, now it is totally non-existant! I would not recommend using this company for anything. Product is ok, company is Crap!
G	Garry Kennedy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had an electric waterless self-contained Envirolet unit at my camp near Sioux lookout since the mid nineties - about 25 years! My wife and I are satisfied with it and do recommend it to friends.We only are there from May to September/October and only the two of us use it. We also have an outhouse. Over the years I have learned how to get it composting efficiently. You have to look after those wonderful aerobic bacteria that are working away inside the unit. It's a bit like tending a garden. The bacteria need reasonable warmth but must not get too hot. They need the right amount of moisture but must not be drenched. I spray the contents occasionally with a pressure sprayer to make sure it gets enough moisture.Of course, the aerobic germs need air.We add a little peat moss so the 'contents' don't get too dense.The raker bars stir the contents and the fan circulates air but, now and then, I use a weeder stick to make sure everything is well stirred. When working properly the unit turns feces into something that resembles soil in about two weeks. In 25 years of use only one part broke - a bushing that the handle for the cover goes through. An email to Envirolet got a prompt response and I was able to get a replacement part. I think their customer support is very good.
I	Ian Kudrow on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally got around to writing this. We put a vacuum flush Envirolet toilet in our cottage 3 years ago and it has worked great. Bought at the Cottage Life show in the spring. As long as you run it properly it's good. Only problem was a broken toilet switch, which we replaced. Our neighbour is getting the waterless model.
G	Gerry C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We bought our cottage in July 2017 and it came with a sleep camp where an Envirolet compostable toilet was already installed. I knew of others who had such a system but I had never owned one myself. Luckily, the previous owners left us all the documentation which I read with interest so that I could maintain it properly. We are about to re-open the cottage and I have found the Sancor Industries team very helpful. When we have ordered the starter kit it has arrived in very good time and the toilet itself is very easy and inexpensive to maintain. I would highly recommend these toilets; in our case, it is the best solution as it would have been very costly to connect a conventional toilet to the water and septic system. I am very happy with the Envirolet toilet and the service that has been rendered by Sancor to assist me in maintaining such.

Frank's constant unfulfilled promises with excuses like "parts have been ordered" or "staff is on vacation". No call backs, countless messages left. The worst customer service I have ever come across. I even sat in their waiting room, hoping for a better result. Nope. How can a manufacturer service their products with no staff, parts or inventory? From a toilet that wouldn't seal properly (even when "aggressively cleaned"), to a pump that wouldn't stop running every 3-5 minutes (so we rigged a switch to turn the pump off when not in use), to having the bloody thing explode & leave urine & feces all over the room - try getting rid of that smell! For 2 years now, I have not had a working toilet that I could count on, and yes, I have been trying to get this rectified for that long. The only reason I would leave a star is because the system looks nice. In all interactions I have been calm, civil & never rude. During one of our more recent conversations, when I actually managed to get Frank on the phone, he said, "Hold on a minute, let me check." I guess he thought he had put me on hold. What came through the phone line showed his true colours. At this point, I cannot recoup my time or expenses for installing this system, I just want my money back.
T	Tonic Tori on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They owe me 7500 dollars. Made a purchase a year ago never received the toilet or the refund. How did I get scammed by this company? I have tried everything to get my money back. If anyone has a way to get a refund or insight please let me know. So disappointed.

Didn’t even respond to a request from Marketplace Intelligence and Consumer Services Unit Consumer Services, Policy and Partnerships Branch Ministry of Government and Consumer Services of Ontario I’m from the U.S so other means would require lawyers etc. I can say calls to Frank provided no results and vague promises that never came through. So, After 18 months cut my losses and moved on with my life.
S	Susan Bernard on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have used an Envirolet waterless remote toilet system for over 10 years now. As you can see in the picture, the lower part where the pooh, etc. composts is sitting right beside my enameling workbench in the garage. No odor!! Can't say I'd setup my workbench in the regular bathroom in the house. Definitely recommend this system. The toilet stool in up in the studio room above the garage. Users only notice that it is different when they go to flush and there is no handle. The composting chamber gets emptied and compost worked into the soil around the shrubs and flowers about once every 12-16 month.
