★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter and her boyfriend treated me to lunch at one of their favorite restaurants. Pretty decor, a little small but very quaint. The food was very delicious, I will definitely revisit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ? The best dumpling joint in town. Can’t get enough. My all time fav is lamb and coriander soup dumplings. I have tried many dumpling spot in Montréal, none tastes as good as Sammi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this restaurant for their quick service! Even though we visited during its busy lunch rush, we received the food at a reasonable time. They have a good variety of dumplings to try, but our favorite is the lamb coriander dumplings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Solid choice. My only gripe is that water is served in paper cups, and the sheer volume of customers makes getting a table occasionally difficult. Apparently they take reservations. Steamed dumplings appear to be Shanghai style; thin skin with meat/soup inside. Original juicy steamed pork is better than sweet juicy pork, in my opinion. Pan fried dumplings are just as delicious, with lamb beating out pork and coriander slightly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Issue #1) When you walk in and no one greets you, and after standing for awhile someone comes up and without saying a single word (literally not one!) leads you to a table, you realize customer service doesn't exist in this place.
Issue #2) The "special" pizza dumplings are truly awful. The sauce has a strange fake/chemical taste that made this inedible (and something someone would have had to pay me to finish).
Issue #3) The sauce on the peanut butter dumplings also felt off (not fresh, oddly flavored).
Having lived/studied in Shanghai, I love me some xiao long bao, and I admit it wasn't awful here, but other than that, there wasn't much to like about eating here, and I wouldn't come again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love their soup dumplings. They are fresh and delicious. It's their specialty.
It's always super crowded though, so if you want to try it, get ready to wait in line outside to get a seat.
They are often very busy so the staff is not always the most welcoming, but the dumplings are worth it. I know they work really hard so it's understandable.
The restaurant location is very convenient, downtown and right next to the metro.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife was in the mood for some soup and dumplings so we decided to give Sammi & Soupe a try. The location is simple and basic, while the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We each got a bowl of the Hot and Sour Soup and then split an order of the Tofu and Veggie Dumplings (15 in an order). The soup was perfectly prepared and very tasty, but the reason the rating is a 4 and not a 5 is because it was more of a small cup then an actual bowl. The portion was very small, and thankfully we had the dumplings (which were also tasty and well prepared) to fill us up. Since “soup” is in the name and it wasn’t listed under the appetizer section, I figured there’d be more, enough to be most of a meal, instead of just a taste. Perhaps offer two sizes? Would definitely go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been going here for around 5 years now and I still consider this the best place to get soup dumplings in Montreal.
When I was a university student, this was our staple spot. Super affordable, quick service & something warm for cold winter days: there’s not much more we could ask for.
Even if I live much farther away now, I still go back here regularly to get dumplings. The Classic Juicy dumplings are the best in my opinion!
