About SALTUS Professional College
Hello, My name is Shelly MacKenzie and I am a 3 rd class power engineer. My experience with power engineering comes from working at a power generation plant in Calgary. As of 2018 I am the Calgary chapter president for the Institute of Power Engineers. I am also a Safety Professional with over 25 year’s experience in the oil and gas industry in Western Canada. This experience includes field work in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia in the upstream side of the industry. I have worked extensively with exploration service companies developing safety programs,auditing established safety programs and performing training services. Currently I teach both 5 th class and 4 th class power engineering programs and safety for a post-secondary school in Alberta.
