★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this delightful, fashion and home decor store called "SALT" tucked away in Ganges on Salt Spring Island. A real gem. It has a modern, airy, Scandinavian feel to it with lots of locally produced nifty gifts and fashions. The staff are adorable and helpful not just with regards to the store but any questions you may have about their island. Definitely recommend you stop by if your in Ganges any time soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a gem of a store - the merchandise is gorgeous and reasonably priced for being made ethically in Canada. The staff on site was so friendly and helpful, without being at all pushy. Felt like shopping with a friend! And then when I sent a follow up email, the customer service I received was beyond belief - they truly stand behind their products. This is why buying small makes a huge difference! 100% recommend a visit in person or online.

The owner, Jessica, has carefully hand-picked every item in the store and it reflects her passion for conscious living. A definite must-see store whether you're a local or just visiting the island!

The overarching ethic seems to be that of sustainable, earth conscious products, many of which are made by artisans and sold directly to retailers (like SALT). Great views of the harbour through the windows of the store, too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SALT is a wonderfully fresh and friendly shop full of stylish lovingly handmade goods from both local and far away artisans! Great for gifts for all, my daughter gave me one of the lovely HOBO candles from England for mothers day, it smells delicious and cleans the air! SALT is a must visit when you come to salt Spring! Enjoy!
