About Salt & Pepper
We’re Salt & Pepper and we have been giving Calgary authentic, memorable experiences through Mexican culture and flavor for decades.
The year was 1988. Calgary was booming but we wanted to spice things up a bit. With humble beginnings on Macleod Trail, the doors to the first Salt & Pepper restaurant had opened.
Just like our city, our restaurant has gone through some challenges but our spirit and “cojones” helped get us where we are today. Over the years, S&P has called a couple different neighborhoods home but we have now settled into our two family restaurants in main street Bowness and historic Inglewood.
This family business has served more than one million guests over multiple generations and are proud to say we have gotten to know them like family. That’s right, our abuelo might have fiesta’d with your abuelo!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great place for Mexican food. I had the tortilla soup which was really tasty. I thought the tortillas were just going to be on top or to the side but it was already mixed in. Super tasty. And then I had the beef enchiladas and ended with some deep friend cheesecake thing I can't remmeber the name of which were really good. If I ever come back to Calgary and am staying nearby, I definitely would come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enjoyed lunch with my partner here for the first time despite living in Bowness for a year, I’ve been missing out! Ordered the Chicken Mole Enchiladas and the whole meal was fantastic, as were the margaritas! The server kept our drinks full and the atmosphere was great as well. Will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been going here weekly now with my wife for the past several months. Every week we get the dinner for 2 Taco special. Tacos are amazing and super fresh tasting! Food is very consistent and rarely disappoints. We have lived in Bowness for 2 years now, our only regret is not trying this place sooner!
Gluten free tacos are available and dairy free options are also available.
Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have discovered our new go to for Mexican food! Great atmosphere and gracious host! Food is very excellent and you can taste the care and love put into this food. Why watch about a food show on Netflix when you can go to Salt and Pepper and get the experience first hand? This is the kind of place that is part of a community, a place that helps give a community life and character. You need to eat and experience this place.
March 17, 2022. So glad to go back to this place. The food is as fantastic as we remembered it. We brought friends there to celebrate a birthday and our friends were so impressed!
