I had the most amazing experience with Denise as a first time client. She kept me outside of closing hours to make sure my hair colour correction was complete and I was satisfied, all the while keeping a cheery nature and comfortable atmosphere. The other staff was also super friendly and involved. I have already referred my sister!

Great place for men’s haircuts. I’ve been coming to Denise for many years now and would highly recommend her. I’ve gone to quite a few places in Vancouver and by far Salon Origins is the best. Highly recommended and will continue coming here. Location is great, service is top notch and prices are way cheaper than other places. AAA

I LOVE this place and Denise is amazing!! I travel all the way from white rock into the salon in vancity! I’ve tried many salons before but this hands up is my fav. So when I found her awhile ago, I keep going back! Denise is so talented, knows what’s trending hair, only uses the top stuff, years of color stylist specialist, and like my hair guru. Also she pampers you with the best head massages while washing my hair with every time I visit. Def worth checking out and referring to my friends!

It has been almost a week since my visit and now I feel is a good time to write my review of this salon. When I first walked in, I was a teenie bit early for my appointment, but Camile was very warm and welcoming, and frankly a pleasure to chat with. The salon is quaint, clean, and well kept. I was pleasantly surprised when Camile offered to take my jacket, and then offered some tea, lotion, and a hot cloth for my hands while I waited for Denise to set up. Once she was ready for me, Denise was wonderful. She took the time to consult with me quite thoroughly, and asked me a bunch of questions about my hair and hair hygiene habits. She wanted to make sure I knew what I wanted, and that we were both on the same page, before any work had even started on my mop (hair). My hair is quite long, and I am very particular about it, but Denise was very attentive and receptive to my wants and also politely offered her professional opinions. The hair cut itself was extremely enjoyable. She took the time to explain exactly what she was doing, and the products she was using in my hair. She gives a mean scalp and neck massage too! She also explained products she sells in her salon, and was enthusiastic and genuine about their quality, without being pushy. It took a little longer than expected to do my hair, however I never once felt rushed or unwelcome. When she was finished my hair looked and felt amazing! Denise is definitely very good at what she does! Bravo! Of course my hair always looks great after leaving the salon, but what about after? After a day or two, my hair still looked and felt as if I had just left the salon. I was so reluctant to wash it for fear of losing my hair mojo. But, as hygiene requires, I was forced to wash my hair. My hair felt really nice to wash, and it was much easier for me to do so. Once my hair dried, I was just as happy with it as the day I left the salon. This is the first time, in many many years, that I have loved my hair this much. I feel that Denise and Camile definitely deserve a full 5/5 stars. I'd give 10/5 if I could. They have a wonderful atmosphere, and have made my salon experience nothing short of amazing. Denise is without a doubt a champion of her craft, and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. Price-wise, if you were to compare, her salon is right on par with other salons in Vancouver. But the VALUE you receive from her salon is much much greater than the other salons at the same price point. You get a lot more bang for your buck at Salon Origins, by far. Thank you Denise and Camile for making my experience a great one. I look forward to seeing you in April for my next appointment!

Favorite hair salon whenever I’m in town. You won’t be disappointed!

I have had the pleasure of Denise making me look amazing and taking care of my hair health since 1990. I have been following her around Vancouver as her talents are in demand and she has opened her own store front (thank goodness!). As a model and frequent air traveler, my hair is put to the test. She cuts (and colours when needed) my hair so it is always healthy and always best suited for my face-shape and lifestyle & most importantly....I love it! She's trained by the world's best and her charming, professional attitude is 24/7. Plus, you just feel better being around her and her staff and in her store. It's laid back, minimalist but chic and her prices are always affordable and money very well spent. I highly recommend Denise to everyone, she's top shelf and if there is ever a problem, she'll make sure it's handled correctly, the first time.

Denise makes magic happen with her scissors!! She takes the time and has the intuition to really get how you want your hair to look, then she's so skilled at getting the result. I'd been to lots of high end stylists and never had such consistently great cuts. Wonderful. I've been her client since 2013 and will stay!

Denise and her team are amazing! I've had 10 years of great hair cuts and color appointments here. I have gotten many compliments on my hair over the years that I have been visiting Denise. She is professional, personable and very approachable. Denise is constantly educating herself and her team on the latest trends and you can tell she is truly passionate about her work.
