Sala San Marco Event & Conference Centre

Great venue! Pretty convenient location with gorgeous and spacious dining halls. The food is delicious, no complaints! Staff is very helpful, patient and respectful. Would 100% have an event there again.

Super understanding and great customer service. We had bought tickets to their NYE Gala, which was drastically changed due to new provincial measures. We were given different options of how we wanted to proceed, and we opted for a full refund on our tickets. Michelle was amazing to deal with. Can't wait to be able to celebrate NYE at Sala San Marco next year!

My sister and I had a wonderful lunch here today. Our server was welcoming and helpful; he offered us an umbrella for our sunny table spot without us asking, which was appreciated. We shared the Parma Pizza and Garlic Parmigiano Fries. We were very happy with our meal, and would definitely recommend it to others. Fun fact: We both noticed, in the women's bathroom, there is a low, child-sized sink between two standard-height sinks. We thought this was a really nice touch for families.

I was very excited with prepping for our wedding day. I did all the planning myself, along with help from family and friends so I was extremely excited to see the outcome. Everything was going well up until it was time for the ceremony. I came the morning of our wedding day to decorate, there were a few hiccups with the venue such as a water damage in the basement so I was no longer able to get ready in the bridal room, but I understood. The older gentleman who was setting up our room offered me another ball room next to ours to get ready as there was no other events that evening. This was extremely nice of him. We set up and left. When I got back to the venue, our guest was arriving so i went to get ready. Everything was running smooth as far as I know. After i was dressed, it's now time to walk down the aisle. Our waiter for the evening came to me and said " I have some bad news for you and you will have to alter your program for your wedding " I had absolutely no emotions as I was just about to walk down the aisle. He goes on to say that as of midnight the night before there is no dancing allowed and we have to end the wedding reception at 9 pm, clean up and be out by 10 pm instead of 1 am. So I asked him why wasn't I notified when we came in the morning to prep the space. He said "I do not know". At that moment my mind was taken away from walking down the aisle to thinking of how will I cut off everything I have planned and rush through the evening. I was very disappointed in the way it was handled. Especially knowing there was no other events there that night. The waiter just kept looking at us all night and the minute my guest stood at the table to dance he would ask them to sit. Everything after the ceremony was a rush. Happy hour was not so happy. Then followed by dinner. The desert we taste test was completely different. We had to ask them if they would give us the pizza we paid for and they gave us a box. Our wedding was small, under 30 guest, I was extremely disappointed with the outcome. I wrote the marketing manager when I returned from our honeymoon on Jan 12, 2022 and she responded " I have read your email and I need some time to process all of this disappointing information. Let me circle back!". I wrote her again March 10, 2022 and up until this day no response. Don't give me wrong, I was extremely happy to have chosen this venue. It is beautiful, looked even better when we decorated the room. I'm disappointed in the way everything was handled on a day that is supposed to be very memorable and we now have this disappointment to remember. I do not like the fact that I sent an email voicing our disappointment and did not get any acknowledgement. I understand we already paid so I guess who cares at this point.

Last month I hosted a large group dinner at Sala San Marco. I dealt with their Events Manager, Michelle Pulvermacher, in organizing the event. It was a very pleasant experience as Michelle knows her job inside out and was able to answer all my questions, make decisions promptly, and give me full satisfaction on all counts. She is very efficient, professional and pleasant to deal with. The dinner itself was very good, as was the service. An all-around excellent experience. I would not hesitate to go back to Sala San Marco.

Amazing venue!!! We had our wedding here in November 2021 and we couldn’t be happier to have chosen this place for our big day. The wedding coordinator at Sala, Michelle, is an angel! Personal, professional, quality service. The Sala team accommodated our every request and truly made our wedding day a day we’ll never forget! Highly recommend this venue.

For the past few years (except for the pandemic) the Christmas reception of the non-profit organization, which my daughter belongs to, has been taking place at the Sala San Marco. I have nothing but good comments for this place. The reception room is beautiful and grand. The catering company used are excellent. The food is good and plentiful. Their real key assets are their staff who is very pleasant, professional, quick, polite and friendly. As you can see, the family has become a fan of the Sala San Marco.

We had Sala San Marco prepare the most amazing, hearty, delicious vegan meal for our team before Christmas. Vegan lasagna was over the top and the squash stuffed cannelloni beautifully paired along with two tasty salads. For dessert we had peach and pineapple upside down cake which were perfection. All delivered on time. Thank you Sala San Marco, we will definitely be ordering again!!
