I read the post from the person writing about her ex. Sometimes people do not tell the truth. Sage staff never advise people to leave healthy relationships. Freedom from addiction is the staff’s primary focus. Residents identify triggers and create their own recovery plans. What a person chooses to do beyond the walls of Sage reflect the client’s own decisions. Brainwashing does NOT occur, although many an alcoholic, addict will tell you that their thinking was so bad that their brain did indeed, require washing. But seriously, Sage Staff only provide suggestions and guidance. It is up to the client to decide if they will implement these or not. Actions taken by clients upon discharge are of the client’s own free will, no one is standing beside them making them do what they do. Respect a person’s choice. If someone wants to leave me and blame Sage for it, then my only solution is acceptance. Perhaps they may have been afraid to tell me, the real reason they left.

Sage saved my life. The program is so well rounded and the staff are beyond qualified. Everyone goes above and beyond to aid people in recovery. I was always encouraged to maintain a healthy and honest relationshop with my husband and family. Staff would stay late or over their break if myself or another client needed to talk. The Sage progeam offers numerous different lengths of stay to accommodate different levels of need and in every one I know of, never had someone leave that was truly unprepared. I have had my life back for over 4 years because of the amazing programs offered at Sage

I cannot say enough about this place. I didn’t know what to expect, but it had exceeded every expectation. The staff are the most wonderful and kind people you will ever meet. They are just as excited about your goals and success as you are. The food, the chefs there are top notch and so friendly. I literally would move into this place( I even asked ). This Center is where miracles happen , I know this because I found mine there. Thank you sage. ❤️

I can't say enough good about my very positive experience at Sage. I had literally given up on life after decades of active alcoholism. This was do or die so as terrified as I was I decided I needed to do something drastic and get my life in order. Sage was amazing and gave me the tools I needed to live a sober life. I liked that it was a smaller facility because it enabled me to get the one on one counselling that I desperately needed. That was 3 years ago and l am in such a great place now and continue to work the program on a daily basis. I highly recommend Sage Health Centre to anyone who is struggling.

Sage saved my life. If anyone who completes this program does not go home healthy it is because they did not do their part in participating in the program, or weren't ready to leave addiction behind. Getting to a place where you are finally ready to let go of addiction is difficult and terrifying and often takes several attempts. You must want to be clean, and want to live your life differently. 1-1 counselling is available to patients 24/7 at the patients request, outside of the once per week scheduled counselling, so if a patient does not receive enough counselling, that is because they did not seek it. Sage also supported my husband through this terrible time. Yes, they will advise you not to return to relationships which contributed to your addiction, but that is for your own safety and ultimately up to you. Their daily education program equipped me with the skills to live in the "real world" and dealing with my addiction once I left, however, a person has to be willing to use these skills. Once you are out of a monitored environment and getting drugs is as easy as making a phone call, it's really up to you to choose to use the skills. Sage offers 28 day programs, as well as 42 days and longer - and at prices that are far more affordable than other similar centres. They also allow you to leave the grounds in groups which allows you to test your "real life" skills while still in a safe environment. I was not "brainwashed" at Sage. I was taught to think differently, if I wanted to - because addicts are plagued by our way of thinking which lead us to aadiction in the first place. I was taught how to recognize these distorted thoughts which would convince me using was the only answer - and how to change them so I can stay clean and healthy. I have been out of recovery almost 8 months and have suffered only one small relapse which only lasted a few days - and I had been addicted to an extremely powerful opiate which I used daily for more than 3 years. I would recommend Sage to anyone - but if you want to be successful you have to commit yourself, treatment can only give you the tools and support - you have to use them.

Sage saved me mentally, I was messed up with serious anxiety problems. I was supposed to be there 28 days but I realized they were helping me so I stayed for 56 days. Nothing but good memories from staying there ❤️‍?

I cant even put into words how grateful I am for this place. They literally gave me a second chance at life . It was life or death for me if the substance didn't kill me it was going to be the shame and guilt they taught me how to forgive myself . Counsellor Chris was a huge influence on me his classes were so incredibly powerful being that he is genuine and just like the rest of us living his best life in recovery . Thanks sage I recommend this place to everyone struggling. I think addiction or not everyone should do a program like this

Two years ago, on Sept 12 2019 became my sobriety /clean date. 5 days later is walked into Sage. Scared to death and with no idea what to expect. The first few days were hard but i made the decision to go all in on this program. The team at Sage during my stay were all fantastic. The group of people that were there at the same time I was were a huge part of why I was successful. The variety of staff, different approaches and the one on one time were great. Im still clean and sober 2 years later. Dropped 40 lbs and am in the best shape of my life. Active every day, restoring and maintaining personal relationships and looking after myself.
