I am a very picky person and only like to post a great review when it is well deserved as I have found over the years you just don't get the type of great customer service as in the good old days...this company is absolutely wonderful all around. Alice the lovely receptionist is a total gem and Joel and I believe his name is Alex young apprentice went above and beyond in their service!!!! Super reasonable rates and so fast and efficient, no messing around. They were very very professional and explained everything to me and even saved me quite a bit of money on having the glass replaced on my gas fireplace, which was about to totally break and I hadn't even noticed all the spider webbing on the glass until they showed me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for all your gas or wood fireplace issues.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My natural gas fireplace stopped working. The pilot light would ignite, but the valve wouldn't stay on in the on position. I played around with looking at a few things myself, but then decided to give these guys a call. It was definitely worth it, and they did a great job. I got them to do a cleaning and inspection as well. They arrived on time, used good covid protocols, and they walked me through some of the troubleshooting steps they were doing and possible causes for the problem. They were thorough, fixed the fireplace, and it looks and works great. I would bring them in again, even just for a cleaning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were disappointed that they couldn’t clean our fireplaces and also that you basically cannot see any flame at all. We paid for a servicing and cleaning yet it isn’t running properly and isn’t clean. It was blamed on fireplace being old and “have to let it run a bit longer to get oxygen before the flames get higher” for flame low height and the glass being white was blamed on the previous owners cleaning it with something they shouldn’t have. Don’t understand the part about letting it run for half an hour for the flames to get higher- doesn’t make sense scientifically since it just burns the gas and also bottom line we tried it and it doesn’t get better with time. You can see scratch marks in the white film on the glass indicating some came off with attempted cleaning but it just hard to do. I don’t understand what we paid $300+ for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had Ryan and his team come over to perform a chimney sweep for my wood-burning fireplace. They were punctual and did a good job of communicating before the appointment. During the appointment they were polite, explained what they were doing and did a good job of making sure everything was cleaned up afterwards. Ryan even rested some of my firewood for its humidity level and gave me a few tips. Very happy overall.

We reached out to Ryan for a quote and within a day, the ladies in the office forwarded our quote and subsequently scheduled an installation date. Ryan and his colleague Alex arrived on-site early and walked me through their plan of attack for the day. As someone who is pretty particular about aesthetic, Ryan’s work met and exceeded my expectations. The other Alex, also came back to finish painting the gas line to make it essentially disappear with the colour of our house. We have already referred a family member to Ryan and have also planned to rehire Ryan to do further work at our house. Thanks so much to Ryan and the staff at Ryan My Fireplace Guy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thought I had a simple job, to turn my single natural gas line into three (to connect my bbq, pizza oven, and fire bowl) so I thought I would just buy some things from homedepot and job done. The more I looked at it the more questions I had So instead of messing around with it and not being confident everything would be up to code, I called Ryan….and I am sure glad it did. Although the over all cost was more than initially expected (keep in mind I really had no business even estimating the cost, as I had no idea what was involved) I am very pleased with the work Ryan did, and not to mention the peace of mind I now have know it was done right. Knowing I was so far off on my vision of the level of effort required to complete the job safely, Ryan gave me discount off the total price. Next time I need gas line our fireplace help, Ryan will get the call!!
