★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t believe the tiktok/instagram hype. Their jerk chicken is NOT jerk chicken at all. The food was subpar overall and portions were tiny for something supposedly shareable. Service was nice but very slow. The star is for the cute interior.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ruex is my new go to spot !! Since the opening I have been back more then 5 times. I have tried brunch and the shareables one of my favourites is the corn fritters with their in house hot sauce! I highly recommend the champagne flight as well it is delicious ! The ruex 75 is also one of my favourite drinks! If you don’t try this spot out you are definitely missing out !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic food, drinks, and service! The cocktails were so tasty (but still strong) and the Flinders Street was my fav. Everything from their lamb lollipops to their superfood salad was delicious and beautifully curated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an enjoyable brunch at Surrey's new 'instagrammable' brunch spot, a great addition to city centre. More than just an 'aesthetic' place as it also delivers on food with a tasty menu of brunch dishes. Plating and presentation of food is above average, friendly and attentive staff even give reccomendations to what food and drinks look the nicest. Owner is also friendly and gives insight on the Australian theme and stories behind drink names. We enjoyed the halloumi avocado toast, pork belly eggs benedict and the gin cocktail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So happy this place opened up in the neighbourhood! I've gone multiple times already and have tried lots of different dishes (mango hotcakes, eggplant omelette, brekkie burgers, avocado toast, jerk chicken bites, steak bites, lamb lollipops, beet salad, and lamington) and so far everything has been delicious and the service is always friendly. The decor is very pretty too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Opened on May 8th 2022 and we came back twice in 4 days. This place is doing something right... And that hot sauce is fire ???! A definite must go place if in the Vancouver/Surrey area!
Chelsea, our bartender made amazing drinks for us!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ruex is officially my absolute favorite brunch spot! I don’t usually write reviews but i’m just obsessed with this place and everyday I crave their brunch menu! I got the Biscoff french toast and it was so delicious! also ordered a few drinks which were all amazing and can’t wait to try more! I haven’t found anything like this anywhere else and wish I lived closer to this cafe! We received superior customer service from the moment my friends and I stepped through the door. The interior is beautiful and love the aesthetic and vibe of the whole place. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to be back!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exactly what City Centre needs. A great cocktail and tapas-like menu. The food was overall great and the drinks were tasty. There are a few kinks to iron out as they are new, but definitely forgivable and I'm sure they will get better over time. I'm excited to try out their brunch menu!
