Called Royal Lepage to get a time sensitive property estimate on my house and adjacent property. They sent an agent out that day. Agent came and looked at the property and I never heard from her again. She did not leave a card for me to follow up or contact. Called Royal Lepage a week later, couldn’t figure out who the agent was, said a new agent will contact me soon. Never contacted me. Called Remax and they sent an agent out the next day, got an estimate the next evening (on a Saturday).

Alicia Hagan is the most patient, kind, helpful and understanding real estate agent I have ever dealt with. For an entire year she helped us look for our dream home. She sent us listings and kept in contact with us, she listened to what we wanted. She answered our many, many questions and made herself available when needed. Unlike a lot of agents who will ignore you for days. She never pushed us into buying anything. She took us to the house we were in 4 times before we bought it (as we always kept it on our house tour). When I was worried about the noise in the area especially trains she asked previous clients their thoughts in the area. She went above and beyond what any other agent has ever done for us and this was our 3rd home purchase so we’ve had a lot of experience with agents. We weren’t from the Belleville area so had to use a different selling agent on our home, one who didn’t explain things to us or that had Alicia’s patience. Alicia helped us by answering all questions that our selling agent didn’t/wouldn’t answer. I truly believe she helped us get top dollar for our home sale without being the agent who sold our house by all of her helpful advice. She didn’t have to help us with that but she did. If you are thinking of buying or selling Alicia is your agent! Even after we bought our dream home, she checked in to see how we were making out and answered anymore of our questions about the area. She is such a sweet caring girl! Thank you Alicia! We will never forget what you have done for us!

I had a very negative experience with the agent Janice Davis. She was difficult to reach and untruthful. She misrepresented a rental property and when I tried to resolve the misunderstanding, she became insulting and called me a liar. She later admitted that she had never seen the inside of the property and based her assessment off of another persons' description. Lastly, she blamed the homeowner (her direct client) and said he needed to "grow up and grow some balls". I reached out to management via email and phone with a complaint, but never received a response. I've only spoken with administrators/secretaries who stated that my concern would be addressed by the proper manager. Unfortunately, based on management's unresponsiveness and Janices' confidence as she insulted me, I'm inclined to believe that management finds these types of unethical practices acceptable.

Our agent Scott Duncan was very helpful and always got back to us quickly with the information we needed. He came to our house or met us at the sellers home in record time when the deal necessitated it. He followed up at all times and was very pleasant, cheerful and respectful. Paperwork was executed perfectly with no hiccups whatsoever. Everything was well explained. There were some issues with the property but Scott was able to navigate through them to secure us the house we wanted. Thank you Scott! The house is beautiful and we are very happy with the outcome!

BUYER and SELLER BEWARE Judy Ruffo and Douglas Peterson were the listing agents of a property we purchased earlier this summer. The house had a dug well and a cistern, which both had to be filled regularly in order to have water in the house. Although the listing agents, Judy and Doug did disclose there was a dug well, they omitted to disclose on the listing or inform our agent that there is a cistern in the first place and that it needs to be regularly filled with water. It is un acceptable to us not only have to fill the cistern every few weeks, but also the fact that purchased the house with plans to add to it; unfortunately having the cistern buried where we planned the addition would be has put a damper on our plans. The Seller claims he told them and showed them the location of the cistern. We will certainly see if they have, as we will pursue legal action against the Sellers as well as their agents and the brokerage (who by the way does not seem to be much more diligent or caring as after emailing Mark Raschotte about what happened and how negligent the two agents working in his office were, he didn’t care enough to as much as return our email. We have also filed a formal claim with RECO against the parties. The fact that the agents decided not to disclose the information provided to them by the Seller has cost us thousands of dollars; we had to have the well and cistern filled a couple of times, and dig a new well, so we do have a house with constant supply of water, and put in an addition as planned, when we decided to purchase it. Buyer and Seller beware: it seems to me Judy Rufo and Doug Peterson are quite negligent as professionals, and their broker doesn’t seem to care one way or another. Someone will have to pay for it, and it won’t be us. There are so many great, hard working, honest realtors out there, why risk it, and find yourself in a situation we or the Sellers of the house have? You have to answer that yourself.

Amazing service and excellent staff. Doug Peterson was instrumental in our move to the county and we couldn’t be happier with his amazing support. He helped us learn about the country details ( wells, septic, outbuilding etc) and helped us make a very informed decision. Thanks team!

Sharon Donahue did an amazing job selling our House. Our 1st buyers backed out after signing an agreement with NO conditions. We had 2 buyers who wanted the house the higher buyer (who broke the contract) after us telling her multiple times that the house had no foundation and was sitting on flat rocks with great big cedar beams. We must have told her this 4 to 6 times but she wanted to wave the inspection because we were going to take the slightly less offer. The house was on 85feet of waterfront property close to 401 and had all city services. This buyer was greedy and did not want to give the house up to another buyer. She wanted to come back and measure the house a few weeks later and she brought people in for an inspection. After signing no inspection. She then proceeded to break contract. I had already gave notice on my job and was training a new person, already sold most of my furniture, so here my husband and I are sleeping on floors and had nothing to eat our meals on. Thankfully Sharon was able to come through and get another buyer and we did sell but at a later closing date . We incurred charges that we should not have had to pay because of the first buyers actions. But after a few months settled on an amount for both of us , so we could get on with our lives. I would recommend Sharon Donahue to anyone of my Friends, Family and anyone else. She is HONEST, RELIABLE AND WILL WORK HARD FOR YOU.
