★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad experience with nass valley rcmp today. Will not despute my ticket of no insurance but to be left stranded on the side of a highway with no cell service and a dead cell phone and our dog in 33 degree weather....our car was towed and we were informed that we could go explore the valley while a tow truck that would be an hour and a half might, key word might, take us home. So it was wait for a “maybe” ride back to civilization (keep in mind we have a large dog and it is not likely that the driver of said tow truck would board our animal and take us home) or start walking and get out of the heat. So my husband and I were left with no choice but to walk down a scorching highway, dehydrated dog with no leash or harness. Should I also mention that it is illegal to hitchhike down the highway, so our only option was to hopefully make it to a village before dark. We also had no money for a cab or food or a room to rent if there even was one, and most likely would have been sleeping outside overnight. This is at the very least a gross oversight of human safety, as well as animal cruelty. Further legal action will be pursued, I can’t explain the level of outrage I feel at my family and I being abandoned to possibly die by someone in an organization who is supposed to protect and serve, legally.
