This is exactly what the community needs. You have brought a great new high quality rental option to the area. The city needs more vision like from Hungerford. The repurposing of the under utilized office into funky cool lofts is a great idea. For anyone looking to be close to downtown these units are a must see! Keep up the great work, we're excited to keep seeing your progress here at Royal Alex Place.

Older building. Homeless people like to hang around. Smells like smoke in apartments and hallways. Good view of downtown if facing south. Lots of nearby shopping and services. Underground parking available. Utilities included in rent. Difficult to get packages delivered to this apartment. Lots of other options for living nearby.

The renovations that have been made to this building on the third floor are fantastic. The lofts are in an amazing location in the city with easy access to the cities best amenities, and the design of the units are modern and bright. Highly recommended!

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a nightmare. Do not move into this building. The landlord preys on disabled and mentally handicapped people. They also have an incredibly serious cockroach infestation all throughout the building. DO NOT EAT AT THE RESTAURANT HERE. This building is falling apart and the caretakers don't care. They give the outsides a facelift but don't deal with the inside of the buildings. Serious mould issues in the walls and non-stop flooding. The landlords are negligent at best as well as racist and discriminatory.

This place is a nightmare! Do not be fooled by the 3.1 star rating. Most of the 5 star ratings are employees of the property management company. The biggest problem is the on going construction. This is a fully active construction site and has been for over a year. The noise is unbearable. I'm not exaggerating when is say it is frequently loud enough to cause physical pain in your ears. This construction also triggered countless fire alarms. For months, 1 of the 2 washer dryer sets did not work. This forced 16 units to share 1 washer and dryer. The heating struggled to keep the temperature above 17 degrees in the winter despite being set to 23. Things take forever to be fixed. A few examples would be the massive hole in the hallway wall (approximately 4 months to fix). The broken garbage shoot (approx 2 months to fix) the missing seal on my window that was reported within the first 2 months of living there (approximately 7 months to fix). The day of our move out the elevator broke and because I was still receiving emails despite already moving out I learned it took almost a month to fix. I can remember maybe half a dozen times when we encountered a vagrant in the building. To be fair whenever I reported a vagrant the building manager always handled it right away. Some of the tenants on the main floor smoke immediately outside the door which is against the law. This causes the main floor near these doors to smell of cigarettes not to mention this is below peoples windows. Management is very difficult to deal with. It is not that they are rude, instead they will just ignore you. I tried to have my rent lowered due to all the above listed reasons but they refused. I understand maybe they can't adjust rent however it took months to even get an answer. I would email 2 or 3 times over the course of months before I heard anything back. If you tried to call they would just tell you they would have to have someone else get in touch. For this price you could get an actually nice apartment and not some dump wearing makeup.

Mcleod Realty and management I do not recommend these people to anyone. Slumlords on every level. Watch your back with staff!

Okay so lived there for a year finally moving out, the people who own the building are constantly lying about helping with things and peoples issues, the inside of the building may look nice but things are constantly breaking, people are always breaking in, setting fires in the back alley, the people who own the building did nothing to help with making it safer until there was multiple reports. Making it so multiple cars were broken into down in the in park, took multiple phone calls to the police just so the breaking in would stop, even after the cops, it took a while for the building to do anything, there’s really no care for your safety whatsoever in this building, not to mention the fire alarm goes off at random times when there is not an actual fire, this building and area is not good, not even to mention the gang activity in the area non of it is good

Close to Royal Alexandra Hospital. Lofts are amazing with nice ceiling heights, spacious, roomy and modern. Had no issues dealing with Mcleod and their property manager.
