He does not sit there taking notes constantly making you feel like he is writing an essay about how messed up you are instead of hearing you, does not cut you off mid-sentence to say, "Time's up, how will you be paying today?" - he listens and he cares. I recommend him highly.

Rory and the caring environment he creates for his clients, right away made me feel calm, safe, and understood to be able to confidently face the challenges that needed to be managed. The lessons I learned in the many sessions I had with Rory, will no doubt continue to help me through my journeys. Rory was consistently flexible with his availabilty to meet my scheduling demands, freely lent his books (loved this part!!), and shared useful links. Plus his adorable pets were always a joyful welcome especially during tough times! It was very easy to give Westboro Counselling and Pyschotherapy 5 stars. I have enjoyed working with Rory at Westboro Counselling since 2012 when I was running in a difficult union election. Since then I have returned to Rory and he has helped me to work through some my life challenges. I always look forward to our conversations and feel a sense of renewal following our visits. Rory is very understanding, non judgemental and a pleasure to talk with. He also has some real life experience having spent time in the navy, so I find him to be understanding of the work-place, particularly government. Occasionally between appointments he will share information or readings that he feels might be beneficial.
