If you are looking to have a better relationship with your spouse do not see Daina Funk. I saw her when my husband and I were going through some marital problems and at first it all seemed good. I felt like I was finally being heard and that I was a victim of an abusive relationship. And learning how to become independent was a healing method to prove to myself that I can do this. I got her tears and emotions that I did not have and it made me feel like it was worse than I thought. For months my husband got ignored and placed last to everything I wanted to do for myself and everytime he tried to tell me how he felt I knew it was just a controling tactic. It was at my last appointment where I heard that an abuser will do anything and say anything to get you back. And then it hit me, what did he do that I have not done or said that I didn't, we both have done our share of hurt but we never went into what I have done and said only how terrible I have been treated. After that I made an appointment to see a lady in Winnipeg, she agreed to see us one the same day and first my husband went in and after it was my turn. I told her everything and how I felt and how I wanted to forgive and work together and not just resent and prove a point. My husband entered and we all spoke together. It was a very real and hard talk but I heard how he actually feels and how he gets treated, not saying he did not say mean and hurtful things but for almost 1 year he has wanted to just get past things and move on, and I was the one holding us back. Every time I would remind him of something he did, he would get upset because it was old and not present, and that's where we would say things just to hurt eachother. Realizing so much after 1 appointment where I got more then half the blame for not being able to forgive and be happy has only made the love for my husband so much stronger and his for me. I was not a victim nor innocent and if I had stayed with Daina my marriage would surely be over and I would have lost the only one that was always there for me. So if you are reading this, please take it from me. Don't let someone fill you with hate for S.O because there are always 2 sides of a story even if you are the only one reading it.

My ex Wife went to see Daina, only for Daina to convince her that I'm a "narcissist" (without ever having met me). She drove my ex to resent me further, instead of trying to renew our relationship.
