Alex from Roman Stone was responsive, reliable, punctual and very helpful. They did a great job repairing a retaining wall, steps and walkway to our front door and driveway. I highly recommend them.

This was out second year using Roman Stone with equally impressive results. Last year we had them re-lay our front steps and path and about half of our back patio. This year we decided to replace a large portion of the back patio with new stones. Alex's recommendations were very good and you can see how he can envision how the whole space needs to work together. He and his crew always arrived on time and worked very professionally. After a day's delay because of heavy rain, he was right back at it. The cost was very reasonable and he worked with us to remain within budget. He was also very responsive to inquiries throughout the entire process. I would recommend Roman Stone without hesitation.

Alex and his team did a great job renovating my front yard. Every step was done well and with care. Alex recommended material and suggested designs that worked well with my space. He understood the work, the craft and addressed any challenge or problem. In addition, he was friendly and and worked well with his employees to be a great team. I would trust him to do additional work for me.

Alexander and his crew just finished a Backyard patio and did an absolutely fantastic job. when we came home from work to see the finished product me and my husband were over the moon about the transformation that took place in our backyard. I would have to say that the process from start to finish went really well. Anyone that wants a quality job done I would recommend Roman Stone. You can tell Alexander takes pride in his workmanship. Very pleased with the work completed by Roman Stone today. My granite patio needed to be re-grouted, granite steps relaid, and cracks in walls fixed. It was a very labour intensive job. They were polite, friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and responsive to any questions that I had. Despite the heat warning, the work continued on schedule. They also cleaned up after the job was completed. And the final product looks great. Very happy.

My worst experience with a contractor. Alexander is very short tempered and often becomes and loud and angry. Don't let the initial smiles fool you. I hired Roman Stone to install interlocking stones and stairs in my backyard and porch. I paid 40% upfront, with the remaining due at the end. To start off, Alex ripped out my old stairs and tiles before acquiring the new material. I had to use a step stool to get in and out of my house for more than a week, until they got around to doing the porch. There were a few days where they didn’t show up as planned. When the interlocking tiles were being installed in the backyard, I noticed that for all the area about 6 feet from the house the gradient was slopping towards the house. This was confirmed with Alex’s leveler and would have caused rainwater to go towards the house, with the risk of damaging the foundation in the long term. I pointed this out to Alex so that it could be fixed before the tiles were sealed but he got irritated and said that I shouldn't be checking anything until the job was completely done and that everything would be fine. I left them to finish. Once the job was finished, the slope was still there but Alex insisted that everything was fine, even after I showed it to him with his own leveler. Pouring water over the area clearly showed the water going towards the house. At this point Alex got extremely mad and started yelling, saying how he’s the professional and that everything was fine and demanded the outstanding balanced. I asked whether we can get a third party contractor’s opinion but he refused. He then stared yelling, swearing, and started tearing apart the tiles/stones. After taking out a few tiles, he said he would put them back only after I paid the outstanding balance. At this point I had no trust in him and let him tear everything apart. He took home the stones that weren't damaged and left behind a mess of broken stones and stairs. I submitted a complaint with the BBB.
