We visited the shop a few years ago, it was such a cool welcoming place! We hope to be taking a few classes next year and go to some of the skating nights @ the PNE....our only complaint/wish would be that the skating nights were more affordable but we do understand why the prices are a bit high.

Can’t recommend highly enough! Such a great space and inclusive community to learn rollerskating.

It’s nice night, went with friends and learn how to skate. There is first aid on the floor and teachers too. Some people dress up for the night and look so fancy. Amazing time and so much fun.

My partner and I started lessons here and we have been having a blast. It's clear the super friendly team is dedicated to creating an inclusive and genuine experience. Looking forward to going more!

Super fun evening at the Sparkle Skate party but very busy (like a busy public skate) so it was hard to really have the space to move. I would, however, go again and I'm so happy there's a new place for rollerskating with a disco ball!

*Safety Concerns* I read the google reviews and was so excited to enjoy the perks of this fun space in Van. I am a rollerblader. I took the required intro class. Myself and a couple other classmates had previous rolling experience so the instructor (Raven.....I think) challenged us. She had us do one legged glides. Check. Then had us do one legged weaves through cones. There is a slight gradient downwards and at the end of the glide. I lost balance and watched my ankle move like I was Mrs. Incredible (ankles don't move like that). I fell to the floor and said I am not OK. The instructor crouched beside me and said she saw it and it looked bad. What happened next is what concerns me. I could feel myself ready to pass out. I asked the instructor if anyone was trained in first aid. She responded, "I am", and just stared into my eyes. She did NOTHING!! I was a lifeguard for years. While managing my own body from passing out, I asked someone to call 911, sent for ice, and proceeded to instruct a caring student who offered to help. The teacher had corralled the away from me. The student said she was going to stay with me and the teacher said, "You can stay if you want to." If I did not know first aid (the classmate did not), and the student did not stay with me, I would have been sitting there with a shattered ankle, sweating and heart pounding, alone. It took many minutes for any staff to show up an offer support. I sustained a Trimalleolar Fracture, apparently the worst kind for an ankle. The teacher did NOTHING! to help with me or first aid. I don't even remember when Layla showed up. She is the angel staff member that held my ankle for over an hour after trying to find a comfortable position for my ankle. I was excited for the community aspect touted in the google reviews. During my fall, I felt concern for my well being as an instructor did nothing other than stare in my eyes and then walk away while I sat on the floor, holding my ankle, trying not to pass out. I hope that the training and first aid materials (which were next to nothing) have an upgrade and that this establishment grows to be a great place for the community for many years to come.

Had a blast here at Rolla! Precaution though! (It’s also written in the waiver you need to sign before you skate) this is definitely not for beginners. I am a decent ice skater, skier, and skateboarder and this is way different and more skilled based then you would expect. The floors are concrete and while I was there I observed many people fall hard including myself. I’d recommend doing lessons prior to a leisurely drop-in. All around this place was a great time. Loved the vibes, staff, and atmosphere
