Friendly and knowledgable guide with an impeccably clean boat and all the necessary equipment. Would recommend for anyone interested in fishing in Kelowna.

Landed 7 fish, the biggest being 17lbs ( released ). Rod is professional, knowledgeable and very personable. He has top of the line gear and a nice comfortable boat. We can’t wait to get out with Rodney again next spring ?

We caught a ton of fish, which Rod cut into filets, battered, and fried for us on the ice. We got treated with hot chocolates and sweets to keep us warm, and when we needed a break we got shuttled to the shore on his snow mobile, where he built a fire for us to warm up. We roasted sausages and then went back to catch more fish, which we got to take home. He knows his stuff, both Rod and his wife Sandy are wonderful to spend the day with, and we can’t wait to go on a summer fishing trip with them :)

R	Russell Kling on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've hired fishing charters before and this was hands down the best, by a country mile! Needless to say, we'll be back on every future vacation in Kelowna. I took my 7-year old son and 5-year-old daughter for a half-day (Rod's suggestion – he advised that 'young anglers' are best suited to half days, not full days) and they're still speaking about it. Rod is knowledgeable and super easy going. TG he's super chill, as my son bombarded him for 4 hours straight with questions, comments, and suggestions like what depths he thought Rod should be setting the lures! And my daughter – who really isn't into fishing – had the time of her life! We also took home a tidy haul of Rainbow Trout and Kokanee, lucky perhaps, but it provided the fitting end to a superlative experience. If this score was out of 100 I'd give him a 100. My only suggestion is to book as early as you can. By the time we called Rod he only had a single slot available for the ensuing 2 weeks. We were fortunately flexible so that worked for us, but if you have a specific day or time in mind you'll likely want to get on this sooner rather than later. I'm usually skeptical of people who have a hundred 5* review and few-to-no poor ones, but after spending a morning with Rod it's clear why his reviews are what they are.

I learned about the hatch and I was able to land a few on the fly and with indicators. The rainbows were feisty and I was able to feel the thrill of hooking and landing my first of many! Rodney’s knowledge of this region and where to go for the day is a huge advantage and I will definitely be booking more trips with him!
