Rockwood Grand River Conservation park is in Guelph; nevertheless, it is a must visit place for all the Greater Toronto Area nature lovers. It has alluring trails, prepossessing views of plenty of trees - some 300 to 500 years old, a lake-like river surrounded by a trail, and a colossal beach adjoining a park and lots of picnic tables and benches. The trail takes you all around the lake that provides beautiful views of the lake for most times. On a few occasions, we could see our son and others boating and kayaking/canoeing, while walking on the scenic trail. Although the sandy beach is not as big as those of Bluffers park (Scarborough) and Woodbine park (Toronto), it is considerably humongous for hundreds of people. Over all, our son enjoyed canoeing in his own canoe and swimming, and my wife and I were over the moon walking on the trail and relaxing at the beach.

This conservation area is amazing. The trails are easy to walk through. There is a play spot for the kids and a beach to relax. I highly recommend this for any family outing or just a relaxing walk.

This is the most amazing Conservation Area. There's something for everyone here and so many reasons to visit. First off, there's a really nice little beach. Not a whole lot of space on the sand but a decently large area on the grassy hill with picnic tables. Nice place to take the kids swimming! The Eramosa River flows through the park and it's a beautiful place to go kayaking. The walking trails follow the river, and some of the lookout points are so gorgeous you'd swear you were in Algonquin. There are a few that are just a little bit off trail and are SO worth checking out. The old mill ruins are closed at the moment but they are beautiful. I've been to two weddings that took place here and they were both incredible. I haven't used the campgrounds here before but walking through the area I can tell that they are great. This is a MUST VISIT for fans of the outdoors.

This place is extremely well maintained and fills up quickly with Campers and Day Use individuals. This is an Excellent lake for kayaking and canoeing. Hiking is also fun here. I found an endangered Pitcher Plant on this particular trip. There are small caves and if you have a boat you can go to the sea caves.

One of the best conservation parks that I've visited so far. Quiet, well maintained, and beautiful. The beach is small and clean, but there are no lifeguards. The highlight the long trail that ends at the caves. You can also go kayaking in the lake.

Beautiful place to spend the day. Wonderful scenic beauty!! ?? ? Entry ticket was 38$ for 4 adults and 1 child for a one day use ? . Good trail, lil beach area, lot of benches to sit down, boating was 25$ an hr (paddle/ kayak) washrooms were ok, lot of parking, great camping site as well. Ask for a map at the entry if you are new to the place. Bring your own food n drinks if you are not aware that there r no food or drinks on sale inside the area. ?????? I saw couple of issues there yesterday and would like to highlight them- 1.No Alcoholic drinks allowed.. one family was drinking and the guard told them to garbage them. ❌ 2. NO LIFEGUARD OR BEACH PATROL❌There was an emergency and probably someone almost drowned and 911 was called in for help. So be careful!! 3. Leashed dogs allowed βœ”οΈ 4. Swimming allowed βœ”οΈ ?‍♀️ 5. Fishing allowed βœ”οΈ ? Enjoy the day with family or just your own company along with the nature. Wear comfy shoes if you wanna go to the trail. ?????☘️☘️ Have fun!

What a beautiful conservation area! The waterfall is pretty tiny but still nice to look at and lots of options for either easy gravel path for walking. Trails are easy to moderate. Saw a bunch of people canoe and kayaking, I'll return to see the view from the water next time. There is a park entrance fee to get in for the day. And they have capacity limits, but the town of Rockwood is cute to explore if you don't get into the conservation.
