Our History

​

Rockies Law Corporation was established in 2004 and acquired the assets of Sliva & Summers, a law practice which was then the latest successor to a law firm continuously serving the Elk Valley since 1897:

​

• 2004 – Rockies Law was founded in Fernie by acquiring Sliva & Summers, a law practice which was then the latest successor to a law firm continuously serving the Elk Valley since 1897.

• 2007 - Rockies Law established an office in Kimberley, allowing us to serve a broader range of clients in the East Kootenays.

• 2009 - Rockies Law merged with Steidl Kambeitz Law Corporation to become Southeast BC’s largest full service law firm.

• 2014 (March) - Rockies Law continued to grow when it acquired the practice of Kluge & Boyd in Invermere. 

• 2014 (May) - Rockies Law established a Notary Services division under the banner “Rockies Notary & Legal” in Cranbrook. 

• 2016/17 – Rockies Notary & Legal branch office opens in Sparwood.
