We just had our second property inspection by Robert. I would not go into details of how Robert works except few sentences- 1) Robert is a nightmare for property that has issues- Robert finds everything! 2) By the time you are done with inspection, you would have sound knowledge about what a good property is. Robert does not just issue a report showing the issues. He helps you understand what these issues are in “plain and simple” language. Roberts professional findings and humble engagement has allowed us to negotiate with the seller in good faith and reach into a fair resolution. We (and our family) simply cannot imagine working with anyone else in the future!

Robert is very thorough with his inspection, never leaving a single stone unturned. His feedbacks were comprehensive, backed up with suggestions and recommendations supporting his findings. I highly recommend him!

I have had the pleasure for the last Several Months of accompanying Robert during his Home Inspections while he is mentoring me to become a future Home Inspector. Watching him going through the Inspection from the Exterior to the Interior with his fast and methodical approach is inspiring he even has a Great approach with the animals on site (which should not be there). Robert will always take the time (after an inspection) to discuss several issues with the client and answer pertinent questions. The Best part of the inspection comes from the remarks from the different people at the inspection who contently remark to me the knowledge that he possess in this industry and how beneficial it is to them especially from the first time home buyers. Robert takes the time to explain to his clients the difference from major and minor defects which is the difference of the Client understanding the situation rather than panicking! If you are going to purchase a Home in the Near future I would strongly suggest having Robert inspect the dwelling before signing on the Bottom line, it will reassure you and help you understand how to maintain your investment for many more years to come!

You can tell that Mr Young is well experienced and has been in the field for a long time. His reports are extremely detailed and you can count on him to be honest with you. This allows you to be at ease when you finalize your purchase of your home as you know what needs to be fixed immediately and what will need to be repaired in the near future. I would highly recommend him!

I called Robert for an inspection of a duplex in CDN. Before I called, my google research showed Robert is one of the best rated inspector in Montreal region. After the inspection, I feel super confident to re-hire Robert and recommend him to anyone is serious about the quality of the inspection (and the price of the inspection). The whole inspection duration last about 2 hours and half for a duplex. Robert started by giving me a home inspection manual. Then he went on with basement and could point out right away potential issues per his substantial knowledge about those old properties; further more with his equipments (e.g., infrared cam), he showed me what could be the indicators of potential problems and recommendation for repair solution if there is one. He examined every doors, windows, outlets, plumbing, e-panels, basically everything that you can or cannot think of to examine. I have hired quite a few inspectors in the past, NONE have reached to the detailed level as Robert. We went on to examine the upper 2 floors, same process rinsed every corner of the building. During the process, he explained clearly and in details the inspection he was performing and pointed out issues if there was one. Then the roof and the exterior. I do not remember how many photos he took (maybe a few hundred -_-) and he would mark all the details with photos in his report. During the whole process, he was very patient, professional and knowledgeable. At first, his rate seemed not as cheap as someone recommended by the brokers. But his work broke into 3 parts: 1) on-site inspection; 2) the very very detailed reports; 3) consultation after sending you the report. It is not like some inspectors spent one hour with you and spit out a report from his laptop right after inspection. You can tell easily there have been tremendous efforts put into the analysis of the house from the details of the reports. Given all that, his rate is a huge discount vs what he offered. If you are serious about purchasing properties, you would be thankful for being lucky to get Robert as your inspector.

MR.Young is a knowledgeable, honest, courteous and experienced inspector. He inspected by dwelling at rue Phil-Goyette in Vaudreuil-Dorion,previously I had been lied to and the contractor did a pre-inspection with me.Should I say ,he actually said look around the house,while he goes to another dwelling,He emailed me and he said if there is anything to fix let me know.He had me signed a document saying the house was okay.I contacted Mr.Young and that has been a life changing decision. Mr.Young was punctual and came with an the finest devices for inspection.He did a through outside and inside inspection.He took various pictures.He explained to me the qualities as well as the items that are to be fixed and explain the consequences.He explained to me his safety concerns for the property and lack of empathy and professionalism from the contrator.He told me by law he his mandated to show me how to operate the heating system.ALL along,I had myHOUSE ON FAN INSTEAD OF HEATING AND WAS WONDERING WHY IS THE HOUSE SO COLD.MR.Young,immediately fixed the heating and told me my rights on having a WARRANTY INSPECTION. Additionally, he gave me energy cost efficient advice,preventive methods advice on how to maintain the house as well as a booklet he gives to his clients.I have gained so much knowledge as a first time buyer.He spoke to me and helped me on the steps I am to do afterwards and some of my legal right I have as a First time buyer,GCR,Warranty Inspection and more. HIS REPORTS (approximately 69 pages)are so detailed,thorough with integrated pictures making the understanding quite straight forward. The report is provided in ONLY 48 HOURS!QUITE imprssive .Afterwards, I called to ask questions and he was patient and explained to me everything. In conclusion,I recommend Mr.Young to friends and family .HIS WORK ETHICS and KNOWLEDGE IS PRICELEESS.He will give you the best service in town and HONESTY.HE is passionate and ready to help. shanece F and Daintie H

Like others have mentioned in the reviews, Robert's service consists of on-site inspection, report writing, and post-report receipt consultation. Robert was very thorough in his on-site inspection (which we followed along with him). The attention to detail in his easy-to-read report and follow-up consultation by phone enabled us to make an informed decision on required actions. Definitely recommend.

I used Robert Young, the owner of Montreal Home Inspection Services to inspect a home that I put in an offer to purchase. I was extremely satisfied with the service that was provided to me. The price that I paid was very reasonable too . He went into all the details, explained everything to me, answered all of my questions.
