★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The newest trail in the ever expanding river valley system. This paved, gently rolling path starts (or ends!) at 167 Ave, follows the top of bank along the river to (or from!) the Bannerman Community, connecting to Hermitage, Rundle, Goldbar... all the way to the SW Henday crossing. It's a superb route for a 21K run (top of stairs at 137 Ave and 20 St to Quarry stairs), a 10 K walk (17 St to Quarry) or a longer bike ride.
Take a brief detour to cross the NE Henday underslung ped bridge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a hidden gem in the city, an awesome bike ride along the river from hermitage park all the way to 17th street. Or park on the dirt road at 17th and walk towards the bridge. It’s definitely gotten a little bit busier over the last few years but if you want a quiet walk through the river valley, go here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely amazing views of the river valley at the east end of Edmonton. It’s about a 10 km walk/bike from 19 st and 144 Ave to the river valley access entrance. The entire way is paved so easy walking or biking. It goes under the Anthony Henday bridge and along 2 golf courses. If you’re looking for an awesome walk you gotta check this out.
September 7, 2019 walked the trail with my wife and had a great walk, it took a while, about 3 hours but thoroughly enjoy it. It was a beautiful day. I recommend to anyone to enjoy this walk.
May 9, 2020 walk this trail many times and always enjoy it. Walked during all 4 seasons and the changes are always nice but spring into summer is always the best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for biking ,walking or a nice leisurely stroll. Even though your minutes from the city , you're immediately transported to the countryside. The multi use lane has a lot of curves and hills which are met with beautiful scenery , filled with big open fields and the river to your right. Also did I mention how smooth the pavement is?
