There were more trees than I expected and the bathrooms were a little on the rustic side but they worked just fine. It was a wonderful experience! I enjoyed it thoroughly!

Good prices. Helpful staff. Clean and safe small park. Tent sites are not well mapped out for space; it's not clear what space is who's. Not impossible to figure out, but not simple. Would return.

Staff is knowledgeable and friendly for sure. Gotta get used to the trains late at night but they definitely need some maintenance done. Grass needs to be cut and cleanup around the campground. Very messy

Sorry, this was such a sad experience, We met our extended family for a long weekend, and as far as we could tell, no one was looking after the place: the young gals in the office were nice and kind but no one was listening to the parties that went on till 1 am , we had to finally get up and tell one of the groups to settle down, dogs barked at all hours -and even a lady in the washrooms building with two dogs..- claiming they would howl if she left them, and then later I saw a man walking those two dogs... :/ .. quiet time? Nope. And there was a theft problem - again no one in charge paying attention to anything. We will NEVER go back there again. Do partiers think no one else in the campground can hear them? Go home and drink in your own yard. Very very disappointing place.

Nice little place in an industrial area right on the river. Close to train, but not annoying. Very large treed sites, but little privacy between. Electrical water and sewer are all at the back of the lot, so make sure you have enough extensions. We stayed 2 days and enjoyed it.

Cute little campground in Wakamow Valley. Found a cute little site to set up tent that was surrounded by bushes but it was all dirt and it did rain the whole time I was there so it was pretty muddy but the grassier areas barely had any coverage. Probably better if I was in a trailer or bus. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Prices are affordable as well :) Lots of hiking trails around, which is a bonus!

Started off badly. Girl in office was nice but was confusing. We didnt need any services but had to pay $47 for a full service site in order to stay there even though the place was maybe 1/3 occupied. You'd think they'd want the business and would make an allowance for no services needed. You stand at a take out window to book and pay. Money fell through on their side but they said they couldn't get to it and made us pay again. Grrr. Shower was fine but not cleaned of hair & the mat to stand on to get dressed was all covered in dry mud. Sitting at our picnic table two of us had 4 tics on us. People trudging through our already very unprivate site with kayaks unappealing. I manage a lrg resort and could teach the park lots on good customer service. So long park river campground - will not recommend ever ?

The park was easy to find. It is located just south of the city on River Road . . There is pavement all the way until you arrive at the park. The interior roads are gravel. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. Our site, 48, was a pull through that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, and water only) were to the left side. Distancing is very poor for a rural park. Some sites had a vegetation barrier but very few serviced ones.. Each site has a table and most have a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was pretty (many lilac bushes in bloom) but the grass needed to be cut badly. There was a lot of long grass that was tick infested. Our dog had two and I had three. All were discovered before they pierced any skin. There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA TV. Satellite might be difficult because of the trees if you don’t have a portable dish. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. There are trails from the park as well as Kayak and Canoe rentals on site. There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $40.00 per night and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again only if the grass has been cut.
