★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As soon as we arrived the waitress seemed like actually serving us was a chore beyond her. The food, what's happened to basic logic. My so called lumberjack poutine had sauce so thick it clumped my fries together like a horror flick and too salty to enjoy. My wives so called lasagna was sad, no sauce and it was burned from being warmed up. The salad that came with it had a few leafs on top fresh covering the brown old under it. For $21.00 what a shame.But the worse is the way the waitress treated our deaf daughter. Our daughter ask what was available for drinks in which the waitress rolled her eyes and with a cynical laugh walked away.Normally I speak out towards such ignorance but my wife did 1st and said where is the drinks in the menue in which this waitress stopped,turned around rolling her eyes and said its not in there and walked away. I should of left with my family and not wasted $75 on bad food and a ignorant waitress. We will never return . We'd rather buy burritos from a corner store and eat it in the rain under highway over pass. And we will be informing our family,friends and colleagues of our experience there. Shame on them and you for giving this person a job to try to humiliate someone 1st with bad food then more so with no intelligence to know better and not insult a customer especially one that was just being decent who happened to be deaf..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They always seem understaffed. Last time we waited and were completely ignored because they assumed we were waiting for take out. We finish our meal and say we are done no desert. No one comes with our bill and all we hear is laughing and joking in the back room. We literally could have gotten up without even paying. Eventually a young boy the only one seeming to be working was able to help us. From now on its only take out from there for me the food is okay but service sucks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They were very short staffed. It took 45 mins for food to arrive. Food had no quality control. If you're not proud of it, don't serve it. We did let the server know our concern re the food. She said she'd let the kitchen know. No offer to take food back to replace. We couldn't have waited any longer anyway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sad to say our breakfast experience was not great this morning. Our waitress seemed to be in a poor mood, 2 main ingredients were missing from 2 of our dishes as well as the toast. I requested half an order and was told we don't do that and it's the same price. Big disappointment! We don't go out often and when we do we expect more than this.
Thankfully the other waitress on shift was genuinely pleasant otherwise I would never consider coming back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a driver thought I would try out this place. Ordered a king size original burger and paid a extra .99 for the curly fries. The burger was good but c'mon paying extra for this?? How disappointing, you pay extra and this is all you get. Ricky's you could do better, it is a potato, maybe give a little more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Ricky's restaurant saved our life when we were trapped in Hope. They were the only restaurant that still had power and was serving food when the power was lost in all of Hope. The staff were extremely kind and supportive of all the stranded people and worked non-stop all day and night to help serve people. The owner was extremely generous and quickly found a way to serve as many people they could with the limited ingredients they had due to an unforeseen spike in demand. The food was great and delicious and the service was fantastic especially considering the restaurant was at max capacity and they didn't have enough staff again due to an unforeseen spike in clients on a random Sunday afternoon. Every night they opened the restaurant until midnight just to let people stick around to stay warm and enjoy drinks as many of us had no place to go and we're so cold sleeping in the car. My family will forever feel grateful that the owner was so kind to us and all the stranded people. Thank you the Ricky's crew!!
