From our humble origins as breakfast experts – to today’s menu with dozens of modern dishes for any time of the day, Ricky’s is a place where everyone feels at home.
Ricky’s opened its doors in Vancouver in 1962 as Ricky’s Pancake House, famous for buttermilk pancakes, value breakfast specials, and the very best service. Ricky’s expanded in the 1980s to include full lunch and dinner. As well, in 2014, Ricky’s acquired ABC Country Restaurants, a chain that had delivered great country fare for over 40 years. This merge brought together two great brands, both with a rich history of delivering exceptional food and service to Canadian families.
In 2017, the Ricky’s brand further expanded with the launch of Ricky’s Café, a new contemporary café concept with an express burger and sandwich bar and gourmet home meal takeout service. All while still serving the famous breakfasts and high quality lunch and dinner items Ricky’s is known for.
With ongoing expansion, including new locations opening in Alberta and BC, Ricky’s has 85+ locations across Canada to serve you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for breakfast. Waited a little for our drinks in the beginning but server was attentive after that. They messed up my friends potatoes but fixed it for her quickly and gave her some extra.
Really clean and not busy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food here was very good. The portion sizes were generous and everybody with me was fully satisfied with their order. The waitress and hostess were especially kind to my 2 year old daughter, making sure she had activities and goodies to keep her entertained. They also interacted with her which made her light up. It was heartwarming and made our visit that much more enjoyable.

Other than that, was your basics.
There is no contact tracing list however and they automatically bring you peanut butter and a jam of their choice. I am not sure of their behind the scenes practice but this seems wasteful and unsanitary. They also bring you a dish full of cream and sugar for coffee and we take our coffee black. I just suggest they ask about these things to keep people safe. Our waitress was delightful and served us well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location in Creston, Staff is excellent, place in clean and food is good. Breakfast is good, one of my favorites is the meat lovers brekkie bowl. One of my favorite lunch/dinners is the chicken finger dinner.
I recommend you try the chicken fingers, chicken and waffles. The battered chicken breast strips are fantastic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very average place to eat in. Average service, salty food or average food. Average portion. Mushroom soup was tasty though. They do lunch special during weekdays until 2 pm. We arrived before 3 pm, so couldn’t get that deal!!! Too bad.
Update: We just remembered now, they didn’t give my daughter desert which was supposed to come with kids meal. They also didn’t mention about kid’s drink, but my husband mentioned it, so we could get it though. So I reduce stars...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped in for breakfast today. Walked into an empty and clean restaurant, the former not a good sign, the latter appreciated. Our server, Emily, was friendly and knowledgeable and served us efficiently and effortlessly; kudos to Emily. I had the eggs benny with stuffed hashbrowns and was quite impressed. The hollandaise sauce was the weak link being less flavourful and buttery as I would have liked. But everything else was great. I especially liked the hash browns which was a more substantial and tasty option to the regular fried potatos. Price point was quite affordable and portions were adequate. I typically prefer to try mom n pop businesses as I enjoy the local and personal vibe each one possesses. This is one exception to the rule. 4 stars.

Restaurant was not overly busy when we walked in, but we waited 15 minutes just for someone to acknowledge us standing there, because they were standing around talking. We got sat down, order taken, and then ignored. Our food was brought out and one meal was incorrect, and when we notified the waitress she went to the back to get it corrected and never returned. Every waitress walked by and stared at our dirty plates but kept walking. After 20 minutes of sitting with empty dirty plates and empty glasses, we finally flagged down a different waitress who cleared our table and brought us more drinks. The only good thing about our meal was the food that was correct, was very good.
