Wonderful gallery to visit where you can take time to view many paintings in a relaxing friendly environment. There's lot going on from showings to art classes for both adults & children. Definitely a place to visit.

One of the few places in Richmond Hill to see true genuine art. I was seriously blown away by the good vibes and incredible art work I saw on the walls of this smaller gallery. You can see the different ideas and different artist all collide to create this beautiful environment where you can stand and just be in awe.

I only began exploring art this past summer and discovered this gem about a month ago. Since then, I've been participating in the non-instructional life drawing sessions every Sunday and just attended my first monthly demo last night. In a very short period of time, this place has become invaluable in my life and you couldn't keep me away. The non-instructional life drawing sessions are fantastic! The small group of regular attendees is welcoming and friendly and there are always different models to work with. Tables, easels and horses are available to support any medium you wish to explore, while you bring your own artistic tools and supplies. Most Sundays are short poses, while the last Sunday of the month is one long pose. I love the variety in models and poses, and I appreciate that I have the freedom to sketch or paint. All skill levels are welcome and, though everyone there is extremely talented, I don't feel intimidated for being so new. Yesterday's art demo with Robert McAffee was informative, entertaining and inspirational. He spoke of his own artistic career and gave excellent advice on marketing, pricing and visibility. The room was packed, but I didn't feel lost, as I got a chance to chat with many attendees on their own artistic experiences and with the organizer, Mary Espinosa, who encouraged me not only to approach the speaker with any of my questions, but also to attend future demos with other prominent artists. My two favourite things about RHGA are that it's so intimate and convenient! First, it's a small group and everyone seems to know each other. They visit like old friends and support each other's artistic pursuits. Secondly, it's an extremely short drive for me, whether from home in one direction or from my parents in another. The parking lot is one lot over and it's easy to lug all my art supplies from my car. The hours for the sessions are convenient and I love that I can get there easily even when the weather is bad (though I know that wouldn't be the case for everyone). My only issue is that there have been evenings when the walkway is extremely icy and, carrying heavy art supplies, you have to be really careful walking to and from your car.
