★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This isn't too far off route. I have no idea why we didn't stop before because it is great. The visitor center is under construction right now but it meant that we got in for half price! We did a self guided tour but there are free scheduled tours. If you have children and need a pit stop with a stretch your legs, it is wonderful (and super educational). I wouldn't recommend going up this road in the winter but in the summer months, this is so worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's interesting to see one of the places where we get so much of our electricity from. Easy access, we'll layed out facilities with lots of information. Very worth while, especially at $6 for an adult

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was the first time back since I was a kid, and they finished construction. My father was one of the principles in building the dam, and I spent a lot of time on site when I was a kid! Spectacular views!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited the dam and visitor center a few days ago when we were visiting Revelstoke. While there we joined a free tour of the facilities. It was an interesting, informative and enjoyable experience. The view from the top of the dam is majestic. I took photos but none of them do it justice. If you're in the area, I highly recommend visiting it and joining one of the free tours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great way to spend an hour or two. Wonderful tour guide, very informative session. Relatively cheap at $30 for a family of 4. Even kept the young kids entertained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm biased, as I think Hydro Dams are really cool. But it's a great stop for the whole family. Very informative and interactive guided tour. 6 dollars per adult is one of the more reasonable admission prices you'll come across. As well as a very decently priced gift shop. Thanks BC Hydro!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Trash! I was rejected from my childs grade 5 fieldtrip today over outdated vaccine passport. Not because I'm unvaccinated, simply because I won't prove it. The Province dropped it weeks ago but the Dam is still enforcing this nonsense. 60 primarily unnvaccinated school kids attended
(because they are under 12) ... make it make sense. ?♀️?
