Delicious fresh pasta. The creations were also unique. One of our favourites was the Scandinavian gazpacho.

Update: I am writing this on top of my previous review. I have now been to Moccione about once a week since I first ate here 5 months ago. I can now say with confidence that it is my personal favorite restaurant in town, simply because if I add up all of the five star reviews I would have given it, it would reach 100 total stars, which beats out Dinette Triple Crown, the previous title holder. Excellent quality food and service. The fried fish and the mufaldine were insanely good. Got take out for mother's Day, and the mother in question adored it too.

I add a lot of restaurants in a "to try" list and it's not everyday that I see a 5 stars restaurant in Google. When I saw Moccione with 5 stars, I knew I should try it as soon as possible, well, now I know why they have 5 stars. The great experience started from the call to make a reservation (simple and polite), when I arrived, the entire experience of eating at Moccione was amazing, from the really nice deco, to the open kitchen, to the great attention from the staff, and of course, the most important, the amazing food. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce full of flavor, a good parmesan and a great wine recommendation from the waitress. The dessert (Tiramisu) kept the level, not too sweet, strong taste of coffee. I think they left the open kitchen so the cooks can see the result of their amazing work in the face of the customers. I'll go back someday, for sure.

Outstanding experience! Went to the restaurant last Sunday and it was an incredible meal. The restaurant is well decorated, and I liked the open kitchen. We got one appetizer to share between two, two pasta dishes and a dessert. The fried halibut was excellently prepared, and the salad green topping with fennel was the perfect accompaniment. For the mains, both the pasta dishes were exceptional, with perfectly cooked pasta and great sauces. The bucatini featured crisp guanciale, which paired well with the tomato sauce. Tortellini was plump and the creamy sauce that coated it was rich and creamy, and offset well by a crisp topping of breadcrumbs and Parmesan. For dessert, a tiramisu was well made and the cream was light and fluffy. I would recommend Moccione to anyone, and I'm sure its reputation will only continue to grow.

I am reluctantly adding this review to what is now my favourite little Italian spot of the moment. Already it’s hard to get a reservation (limited seating which is perfect), as word gets out, even more so. The fact that all pastas are made from scratch daily, the menu options are small and change often (which is how it should be), the passion of the chefs, the affordable pricing, it’s no wonder this is a success. Secret will be out soon, I’ll have to start booking 4 weeks in advance.

Just amazing. You do have to reserve in advance (for Saturdays) as this place is always full. Small neighbourhood restaurant, very cozy, as if you just entered someone's home. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service is top notch, our waiter took the time to explain every single plate. We were 2, shared an appetizer, had each our own entrée and main course. If you are a desert person, skip the appetizer as we were completely full (would have loved to try their squash sorbet). As for pricing, I found it very fair for the quantity and quality of food/wine, and for the overall experience. Will definitely go back.

The arancinis were good, maybe a tiny bit too dry. There was cheese in the middle, I was pleasantly surprised! However, I sadly wouldn’t pay 12$ for 3 arancinis. The pasta was very good! In the maccheroni bolognese, you could really taste alcohol, so I don't recommend if you don't enjoy the taste of alcohol. The casarecce was with “saucisse, vin blanc, tomates cerises, olives noires, piment oiseau, padano”. I don’t enjoy olive so I didn’t taste it but my boyfriend told me that it was pretty good! The bombolones were super good! The mix of the acidity from the rhubarb and the sugary pastry cream was on point! It was light and airy, perfect for a summer dessert. However, it was hard to eat because the filling was spreading very easily. The dough was perfectly airy and sugary! Overall, a very good restaurant!!

I mean you must be wondering why there are duplicate photos of the same dish (Maccheroni bolognese, parmigiano - note, only on the takeout menu). They arent duplicates - they are all separate occasions where I could not bear to order anything else. Honorable mentions are the - Arancini, pleurotes, asiago - crunchy and cheesey yumminess. Lovely patio - havent had the pleasure to be able to secure a reservation which opens up at 9am every morning. Also - cant order my favorite dish from the patio also - so have been eating this fine Italian fare at the park with the greatest pleasure.
