At the time of posting this, I can say that I've known Don Renaud for nearly 7 years. Don is a rare breed of lawyer and an exceptional human being. Here is my story... my Dad was terribly neglected at a care facility and later died before the conclusion of litigation and I found out that he was worthless under BC's antiquated wrongful death laws. I found out that I wasn't alone, that there were many other families in BC in the same situation with no accountability to bring against wrongdoers under our legislative framework. I also came to learn the other provinces had already modernized. I found the BC Wrongful Death Law Reform Society, which was founded by families who've lost a loved one to wrongful death. One of two very passionate, devoted, and skilled lawyers had been volunteering their time and expertise to guide this group of families. Don Renaud was one of these lawyers. Volunteering over the years, I eventually rose to become President of this Society, guided by Don's mentorship and selfless dedication to the cause. He believes so passionately in his core being on the rights of victims, access to justice, accountability, and public safety to make our province a better place for future generations. In his personal practice, I know him as someone who brings forth this same dedication. He goes the distance in bringing cases before jury trials, which is a crucial part of preserving our democracy, and fighting for the rights of his clients to the very end so they get the best results possible. If you're thinking of calling Renaud Law Group, my advice is to do so, you'll certainly be in fair, honest, and expert hands. I posted a photo with this review of Me, Don, and Mattis, a law student who also volunteered with our Society. We were on the ferry returning back from Victoria after a meeting with the Attorney General. It was also my birthday. From personal experience Donald J Renaud is unorganized, rude, and inexperienced. It took him 3.5 years to help me reach an undesirable settlement, further to my point I consulted with a very experienced Insurance Attorney in downtown Vancouver and I was told that based on my injuries I was entitled to 4 times the amount Donald J Renaud settled for. I regret not hiring a different attorney. 3.5 years is way longer than the average time it takes for an insurance claim to be settled, I am not happy with how my file was handled and I regret hiring Donald J Renaud. After my bad experience he then took a premium commission off of my check, He did not deserve my commission, my case was handled unprofessionally and poorly. If I could go back in time I would hire a different attorney.
