About Regional Food Distribution Association

Here at the Regional Food Distribution Association of Northwestern Ontario, rumors have been spread intentionally about an outbreak of pending generosity across the region.  After weeks of marketing and spending fatigue, it is being reported that our social caring immune system is under attack and has been seriously compromised. Wellness promotion and stress prevention consultants across the charity profession encourage afflicted individuals and organizations to seek support and treatment immediately.  A variety of prescribed remedies have proven effective.  Paying it forward has always been effective as a holistic way of addressing a plethora of ailments. Sharing food in the form of meals or groceries goes to work quickly, with minimal side effects; providing comforting relief for the empty belly symptom, often associated with pangs of hunger. It is generally acknowledged that a long-term cure is possible if we address the root cause of our poverty epidemic.  For this to succeed we will need a number of agents to work interactively: political will, social consciousness, increased infrastructure, education, and health promotion.  In the meantime, we are suggesting that our recurring virus be best treated with financial donations and kindness to others.  Give generously. Donate your time, and spread the message to others: by phone, social media, face to face conversations.  Make giving instantly contagious.

Can you imagine a world where philanthropy goes viral?

Our Mission: “Let no one go hungry in our midst

Our Goals are as follows:

The RFDA hopes to fulfill this mission by better securing and distributing emergency food to meet the needs in Northwestern Ontario. The RDFA was formed in June 2003 to develop and implement a coordinated strategy for the delivery of donated food to community organizations that provide for those with food shortages. Its current membership includes food distributing agencies from the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario, and the Region.

We provide food to food banks.

This place is a non profit organization decaded to ending hunger. They also provide many other services and good deeds in thunder bay and surrounding areas. I highly recommend donating any unwanted food or volunteering your time at this facility.
