My family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Place was clean, warm and cozy. And having a full kitchen was great. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Booked with Reef Point for a 4 day relaxing getaway with a friend. The check in directions were quite straight forward, they sent us a text when the cabin was ready for check in on the day of arrival with the details of how to enter our cabin. The location was beautiful, close to many trails including lighthouse loop that took our breath away! We stayed in the one bedroom cabin that had a hot tub on the porch. It was a bit smaller than we expected but because it was just the two of us, it worked out great. However, if you have more than two people, or children, I would suggest a larger cabin. The layout of the cabin is also very odd, the spiral staircase going up to the bedroom is steep and narrow (so not the best for someone with accessibility needs or older individuals, us ladies in our 30's struggled at night). The staircase is also smack dab in the middle of the living room, and we bumped our heads a few times. We came to Ucuelet to relax, hike, surf, kayak and just enjoy the outdoors. However, if you are looking for a relaxing getaway indoors, this might not be the place for you. The cabin itself has few windows looking out into the bush, or onto the driveway, so no nice views. The cabins are all side by side along a gravel road so at night, we had to close the curtains as people across or beside us could easily see in. There is also very little natural light in the day time coming in. The tv was about 20", mounted high in the corner and far from the couch so watching a movie was very difficult, the speakers in our tv were also blown so the sound wasn't very pleasant. The cabin did have a very basic kitchen with some pots and pans. But if you are wanting to cook larger meals, the space is a bit difficult to move around in. There is a small coffee machine and they did provide some coffee for us, however if you want your own coffee you need to bring coffee filters with you. There is also no oil or salt and pepper so bring that also. Cleanliness.... If you have a dog allergy, do not stay here. Luckily we don't, but there was dog hair everywhere. The dishes were also a bit dirty but other than that everything else was clean. Pros: - close to some beaches and beautiful trails - just minutes away from central Ucuelet and The Blue Room, which has the best breakfast and nicest service! Cons: - felt impersonal, would have been nice to chat with someone in person or even over the phone about the questions we had rather than text, the responsiveness was not adequate. - hot tub is very basic but not the most comfortable as there are no seats, you sit in the ground. - lack of privacy, we could clearly hear the people in the cabin across from us, which means they could easily hear us. - cleanliness, they expect you to wash all the dishes and drive all your garbage down to the bins. They provided us white towels, and noted these are not to wash your face with if you are wearing makeup. If you need towels to wash your makeup off, you need to request that. Leaving remarks: The cabin was exactly what we needed it for, it was relatively clean excluding the dog fur, that was quite annoying. The location was amazing, we really enjoyed the hikes and the beach. The lack of natural light was tough being a vacation and all. We left the cabin cleaner than when we arrived, and bearing in mind costs, I would expect this to be the other way around. I hope this review helps!!

It was a fantastic stay. My wife and I loved it there. The only thing... is the bbq should be replaced with a new one in Cottage 29. It was an awesome time and loved the enclosed back deck.

I stayed in one of the cottages with two other friends. It looked so cozy and adorable and exactly like the photos. Ucluelet is a perfect hideaway if you want to just take some time off the busy city life and relax. There weren’t many restaurants options close by, but you can definitely cook your own meal in the cottage!

Upon arrival we were met by a gentlemen (who we will refer to as Mr Grumpy Pants). However there was a female staff who saw us outside and she was super helpful answered our questions and help'd us get into our cabin. Mr Grumpy Pants met us at our cabin and asked in a frustrated unfriendly tone "how did you get in here". He made us feel like we needed to leave. Cabin is cute and warm, bed is comfy. Would have like to have more than 2 of each in cutlery and dishes (each mug and each glass, each wine glass were all of different sizes) which was weird. Overall though it was a nice stay, however Mr Grumpy Pants should probably find a different line of work and the female staff should be the one greeting all guests.

The cottages are really cute and well designed. They have everything you need if you just want to stay in. Some of the units even have a hot tub on their porch. The space is nice and quiet, but is still close enough to town that you can easily walk there if you want to.

Soo cute and cozy! We loved staying here and warming up in the hot tub while it was raining outside. The heaters worked great, bathtub and shower were awesome, tap water tasted good, and the bed was very comfy. We appreciated all the towels we were left with as well, and the soap/shampoo/conditioner smelled so good and natural! The kitchen was a little under-stocked re. cooking and baking supplies, but we made do with what was there. Also not sure if the windows could actually close all the way, as it seemed like we could always hear people walking or driving by and even just talking outside. We still had so much fun staying here for our honeymoon though, thank you Reefpoint!

We booked Reef Point Cottages 2 Bed F # 263 back in November for the Easter Long Weekend to celebrate a joint 40th birthday with another couple. Unfortunately we received a rather indifferent email from the management company in January stating that renovations being done to the cottage we reserved would not be complete by the time of our stay. This was a surprise to us as we had stayed in the cottage before and it was in a β€œfinished” condition. Since the management company basically took a β€œwe don’t give a damn” stance and stated that the owners can cancel reservations as and when they please, we assumed they had decided they would rather rent to family/ friends over the long weekend instead. We ended up having to book somewhere more expensive which happened to be just down the road. It was no surprise to us that when we drove past # 263 it was being enjoyed by someone else. No renovation in sight unless the contractors were chicks with surfboards and beach towels hanging over the deck? If you do book a Reef Point Cottage i would recommend having a back up plan. Management don't place any value in honouring your booking. It basically doesn't mean anything. They are pretty open with their attitude of we just don’t care… After all there’s always more tourists on their way!
