★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had no idea about the detention camps here in Ontario! Very interesting exhibits. Glad I stopped and reasonable camping here too. Short on amenities but everything I was needing.

Peeked through the glass windows and the inside seems to be really cool

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is 100% a museum you must visit, especially if you have younger children. There is lots of children’s books to read, puppets, interactive displays, and a variety of taxidermy animals to look at. There’s also a submarine video experience room. Furthermore there are very clean washrooms with showers ($4) and a laundry room. There is a gift shop and lots of information about the region, including the history of Red Rock (paper mill town & WW2 prisoner of war camp). The building is quite new and in excellent condition, which is rare on the north shore. I would give this 6 stars if I could.
