Absolute worst company! Was quoted $920, going from BC to Ontario. Then the price jumped to $2100, without any notification. No call, email or anything telling me about the new price, didn’t find out until almost a week after they already picked everything up. They kept all my items until the full non-agreed amount was paid. None of my emails or calls were ever returned. I had to keep calling to get updates, was dealing with the most unprofessional people, especially my so called β€œsales rep” John. He kept saying he would call me with an update and never did. Kept getting the runaround from everyone I spoke with. On top of everything it took over a month for everything to finally arrive. The only reason it got delivered when it did was because I called for an update. They apologized for forgetting to call me when my stuff arrived (two weeks prior), and their next availability for delivery wasn’t for another week. This is a very corrupt company. Make sure to do your research thoroughly before picking a moving company. This company isn’t even registered with the CAM (Canadian Association of Movers), didn’t find this out till it was too late. This was the most stressful experience I have ever had to deal with and hope that no one ever has to go through what I have. Wish there was an option to give no stars.

There is no customer care and customer service in the emergency. Avoid them, Specially Ms. Amy (sales manager) and a lady Ms. Megan. Their mover forgot two items in my home, I sent several emergency email to them and called them maybe more than 50 times but they didn't show up at all. After that I found another person by chance in their company to solve this problem. It means I solved the problem by chance by myself.. Now we passed 10 days still Ms. Amy didn't show up and once I call again to their company to follow that problem solved or not, Ms. Megan said she will hang up the phone on me because they have a lot of customer and it's not their business to answer the client ontime even in emergency! And she hang up the phone after 10 days calling them every day politely!! This is Alberta moving! No customer emergency service, no communication and no respect to the clients. Sorry to choosed them for my moving from Toronto to Vancouver. I regretted really.

If there was an option for no stars, that's what I would give them. Do not book them, there are probably much better moving companies out there. At the time of initial engagement, they provide you with the cheapest quote to lure your business, but when the final bill comes, you will see all kinds of hidden charges. Their weighing scale is a scam, I personally weighed my items to be 440 lbs but theirs came in at 926 and i had to pay for 926 otherwise, they would not deliver. The employees on the phone are very rude, they have no interest to address your concerns. I honestly have no idea how they can be in business. Please do not book this company for your moving needs.

**BEWARE** Terrible customer service at the time of delivering my belongings. I challenged them on the final price (by weight with a few hidden charges) and they decided to charge me at the weight amount I had suggested.... I saved hundreds they would have otherwise taken from me for false weight. (Not to mention they lost some of our belongings which should shed a few pounds of weight from the total.....) If you have so much as 6 stair steps in the path in which the movers need to take to physically move your belongings you will be charged. Something like that. At no point do they ever mention that. It's not a big fee and it can be completely understandable for some jobs where they do have to hike heavy items up and down large amounts of steps, but that was never mentioned. Not even after we asked them very specifically for everything that gets included in their pricing. Just a happy surprise for you and me. Broken antiques... lost belongings...... we tried to be understanding and give them time to remedy the problem but they have no interest in taking accountability for anything.

I booked with real Alberta movers for a move from Alberta to B.C. I went with them because of prices of course and they said you have insurance and an inventory of your things. Which is amazing. After booking with them my attitude towards them changed quick, they were 5 hours late to pick up my belongings and didn't not call to let me know. They then were 8 hours late to delivery my belonging, making me waste another whole day. My dresser was a bit dinged up but nothing major, I was missing my box spring though. I called right away and they located quick and told me to call the dispatch and set up a deliver date with Sam. This was all back in mid September. It's now November I just was able to get a hold of Sam after calling at least 3 times a week since my delivery and leaving messages every time. Cherry on top finally set up a delivery date but not for another two weeks. I do have to say the dispatch out of Alberta was very good and professional and fast. I can not say the same for the Vancouver dispatch.

Damages to the majority of our furniture. The major damage caused was done to our power leather recliner as it is now in a permanent reclined position probably due to the reclining button being permanently depressed during the move. Claims department was a nightmare to deal with. They were not timely with responses. The valuation of damaged furniture discussed during booking was not honored by the claims department. An extra fee appeared on the bill that was not discussed during booking. When we called the company to inquire, we were told to pay the movers and we will get reimbursed, which was not honored. We did not accept their low ball claim offer of $180 after months of communication with their claims department (which included a lot of patience on our end with multiple follow up emails to the claims department without a response from them). Please take your money to another moving company as this one does not value your business and will add to your frustration during the already hectic environment caused by a relocation. We wish we had consulted google reviews prior to booking with this company and hope this company will clean up their act as customers don't want to be ripped off.

I had an overall good experience with Real Alberta. My goods were picked up in Calgary by two pleasant movers, and when I called the next day to find out about the weight and charges a very helpful lady provided me with a full breakdown of charges that seemed reasonable. Nothing that I was not aware of had been added to the contract. She also said that my shipment had already left for Toronto. Seven days later I received a call for delivery in Toronto. Again, the girl on the phone was very nice and scheduled the delivery for the next day. I did not find significant damage as I packed everything myself - I even used plastic wrap for the smallest furniture pieces, so my stuff came in intact, which I was happy about. The price is significantly lower, I know that from doing research before the move, the delivery time was within the promised 9 days, so I have only good things to say about real Alberta moving. I would have probably liked not having to call for every small thing though and would have expected more initiative on their part but I can imagine the amount of clients they deal with every day so in the end I am altogether satisfied. Would give four stars.

If you value your possessions at all I encourage you to use any other moving company than Real Alberta Moving. This company will not take of beloved possessions and you will be heart broken when your things arrive in pieces. I used Real Alberta Moving to move from Alberta to Mississauga Nov 2016 and for that move I packed all of my own things myself and not item got broken. Because that move went so well when asked to move back to Alberta Sept 2017, I didn't hesitate and to call this mover and book them to move me back but this time I wanted to use their packing services. From the way that my things were packed by them, many of my possessions are now broken. I won't list all of them on here but I do have pictures and please feel free to email me. Also there is still a whole box still missing and when they delivered my things to my new place they missed delivering a whole bed and were caught dragging my couch on the ground. Please please please ensure to read the small print of their contract before they move anything of yours as it states that their coverage is basic carrier’s insurance that pays out at $0.60 per pound/per article and includes a $500.00 deductible. Not once in all of the conversations I had with them did they mention anything to me about a deductible and it isn't until they have your things loaded on the truck that you will sign the contract. Due the damages and missing item I had to file a claim with them. Be warned that this company DOES NOT have a contact # for their claims department and that this company decided all on their own without discussing anything with me on what my possessions and missing items were worth. They at first made me an insulating offer of $50 for all of the damages and for my missing possessions and to make a long story short today and after waiting a month they offered me $100 for the damages but I wouldn't be allowed to post reviews. You'll will notice from all the other reviews posted on this site that $100 seems to be their standard offer and not once did they take responsibility nor did anyone apologise to me on how my things or me had been treated. I did not accept their horrible offer as I feel it is more important to warn the public about this company and can not caution people enough about their horrible treatment of me and my possessions. This company needs to be put out of business.
