READ Saskatoon has a long history as a local literacy organization that offers free literacy services to adults and families. Since 1979 we have provided adult tutoring services with the help of trained volunteers and community partners.

Favourite Book: Embers: One Ojibway’s Meditations by Richard Wagamese. I loved this little book of poetry and reflections on life the first time I read it, and I still love it today! Richard Wagamese was a unique and talented author, and I really wish I would’ve had the opportunity to hear one of his live readings. His published works include novels, poetry, children’s books, and non-fiction, and his words are a message for all of us, “Unity cannot exist when exclusion is allowed to occur.”
